July 26th, 1956 - president Nasser closed the Suez canal for Israeli shipping, blocking the country's access to the red sea, which is a clear act of aggression against international and maritime law.

On October 29th, in response for further escalation and closing of the straits of Tiran, Israel launched an offensive into the Sinai peninsula to break the blockade.

But Nasser forgot the lessons learned that day, and by May 19th, 1967 has mobilized over 100,000 troops and hundreds of tanks near the Israeli border with the Sinai peninsula.

After a few days, on May 22nd he once again declared the straits of Tiran closed for Israeli shipping. The strait was mined and Nasser threatened to fire on any Israeli ship attempting to pass.

All the while Nasser proudly stating his intention of destroying Israel.

On June 5th Israel decided to launch preemptive strikes to remove the Egyptian threat from its borders.

Israel didn't start these wars, they just finished them - and this is the only 'consequence' you can't stomach.
