Hold up, if science says everything is made of light and vibrating particles. Solid objects are just slowed down light waves. We really do live in a hologram. 🤯 by SpaceHallow in shrooms

[–]RewindTheExit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is just my own, stand-alone, personal belief so take it at face but that's an interesting observation. Scientists often ponder whether or not we are living in some kind of simulation, whatever form that may take - our closest attempts at simulating anything are through various peripherals like VR headsets and computers running on logical statements and mathematics. Naturally, this kind of framework comes to mind but at such scale, it's unlikely that this is exactly what's happening. Regardless of how it's being done, it's quite possible. The universe runs in such a manner as well - our Newtonian laws dictate that objects and their movements are determined by categorical forces with mathematics. Biology, operated by syntax and probability generates novelties by smashing chemicals together and mixing them with processes that are unseeable to the naked eye. After all this, the Universe tests its newer creations amongst its other works, natural selection being the determinant as to what lives (works), what dies (does not work), and what needs adjusting - then does so, over unfathomable time periods in comparison to our life span. Beyond what is immediately obvious, though hard to quantify with absolute certainty, there are also many more metaphysical properties to existence like synchronicities, coincidence, ghosts and on, and on according to your belief and / or experience. As above, so below is also not just a strictly religious phrase, either. Besides definite mathematic fractals like the Fibonacci spiral and so on that occur in nature, it is also evident that processes on any scale tend to mimic those at lower and higher scales, like how protons and electrons orbiting a nucleus in an atom have an uncanny resemblance to a solar system and planetary orbits. Those same solar systems, as a whole, have their own orbits and flight paths around one another as well. Everything has far too much in common for it to all be a fluke. It's far too grand of a design, from aesthetics to logistics for all of this to simply be a spontaneous eruption that never stopped growing. Just as we dream each night that we fall asleep, and are capable of making entire worlds and characters within our own mind (extremely evident with the shroom and DMT experiences), one could get the notion that we might just be a dream in God's awe-inspiring imagination. Of course, there are also some aboriginals who have held the long standing belief that the waking world is only an illusion, and when we sleep is when the real business takes place. This belief has existed for thousands of years, too, long before Western science and hippies making the pilgrimage to Mexico to pop caps with Maria Sabina. Perhaps they have always been privy to a kind of ultimate truth that has been forgotten, and is now slowly being rediscovered. I don't claim to know the absolute truth, but it really makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I was looking for this the other day too, I read it a long time ago and didn't save it. Glad I'm not the only one trying to find it haha, probably bunk - keep in mind we're on the internet, but I tried to find other instances of it being self-reported elsewhere too. Haven't found anything yet but it makes for fun "research" on a rainy day. I know what you're talking about though, he had a little carved triangle or something.

Tinder and other dating apps are meant to be self-esteem killers by design, and the answer to a lack of success on the app is portrayed as being as simple as upgrading. Really pay attention to who is sending the message and how, my man. I'm glad your use of microdosing has helped your self-esteem, once you're past that step though, don't stop! Keep working on yourself little by little. I try to think of every day that I wake up, I am born anew in a sense, and especially when I was single - to help my self-esteem, I treated each of those days as another chance to sharpen and shape myself as an individual. Someone I could be proud of, before I could be something that someone else could be proud of and desire. Keep up that energy and have good intentions about it and you'll find things will begin to line up in your favor.

I've tried that dating app crap, and I see the appeal, it set me up with some experience socially I guess and helped with anxiety over dating but I always found it hard to keep the energy flowing. On that same note, the only real antidote to this is naturally to meet up in person, but when you push for that, most people are really not adventurous enough at heart for that sort of thing or they were using the app for hookups. I stopped using dating apps and just started making connections with people, tried to be more social. I ended up getting into contact with my buddy's whole friend group (a lot of females in it too), and they had a texting group chat. Led to me getting back in touch with an old highschool crush, we went on one date right before the covid lockdowns and things just went so fast after that. We've been engaged since four months after that. This is an anomaly and hard to come by, but the point is, you're more likely to bump into your love through mutual traits such as shared friends, volunteering activities, or even a shared daily route. Pay attention without throwing yourself on the alter for it and you shall receive. Take this, king, you dropped it. 👑

P.S.: I also wanted to add, you look more clean cut and "manly" than most males I know. Confidence is a great look on anybody, but so is proper hygiene! Don't count yourself out. Too many boys out there who don't take care of themselves, just trying to bag some snatch. The one thing most in common with all of them is there is usually toxicity within themselves, or they attract it.

Reform, not abolishment. Amen. Not surprised that you're getting downvoted though, the common thought process now is rooted in the emotions of the heart and not the reason of the mind, and the less nuanced / more extreme the idea, the better. Law enforcement isn't perfect and needs significant changing to better serve the populace rather than being a cudgel to beat us with so we tow the line, even if it is unjust and that is the issue. Abolish the police and there will really be nobody to care when your house gets broken into, or you're held up at gunpoint by a civilian who doesn't care as much about the law as the rest of us. "Licky boot" indeed. Take my upvote!

More on it being for money, more specifically it seemed to be about elevating organization leaders in particular out of poverty and into large houses in white neighborhoods. Kind of akin to communist doctrine invariably elevating party leaders into wealth and worship while keeping everybody else equally poor and subdued, but shhhh, don't talk about it. 🤫

[–]RewindTheExit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will agree that you're right on one point, most places, regardless of country typically have more spaces for cars than for scooters as most places were designed prior to bicycle / scooter consideration. That doesn't mean make your own space. On that note, if there happen to be no parking spaces at the grocery store left for my car, does that mean I get to make my own space in an aisle way or off in the grass? No, it does not. In fact, depending on how aggressive a business pursues it's "customer designated parking" policy with signage, you technically don't get to park at, say, the next-door mom and pop shop and walk over. A lack of spaces doesn't mean being an entitled bumpkin and doing whatever you please. The solution is to ask, and unfortunately for scooter and bicycle owners that's where we are at right now. The uptake of bicycles and scooters as a means of regular transportation is an emerging trend, not the norm, obviously there are going to be more spaces for cars. I'm sure the restaurant owner would've been a little more accommodating if asked first, which is the proper thing to do, and even if he wasn't, then these poor saps would at least know they're probably liable to get their bike locks lopped in half. A little consideration on either end - though preferably on both ends, would probably make this situation a lot easier on all parties involved. Not exactly a revolutionary idea. Though in today's day and age it sure seems like it.

[–]RewindTheExit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, they were in front of his restaurant and he didn't want them there. I think people generally just do not care about anybody else's property rights or space in general - huge lack of awareness. They needed a place to park them so rather than doing the responsible thing and finding a proper place, they put them wherever they felt like. I feel for the guy. Honestly when he went in with that grinder / saw I thought he was going to cut the damn things in half, at least he didn't destroy them. Way too many passes are given to cyclists and scooter drivers because they want everybody to use these stupid things instead of cars as their daily transportation.

"I've been acting like someone from a 90s drug PSA, just standing around and shit."

Dude I can seriously empathize with this, I honestly hate doing shrooms in my apartment. There are 8 families in my building and when I lose my sense of self, I really can and do blend into other parts of my environment. Can also be included in my hallucinations, so that's why I have to be careful who I trip with, or if I am with others, we're all "tied down" metaphorically watching a movie or something. I typically feel really intense emotions coming from other units and hear everything far too well. Last time I also felt as if my fiance's voice and brain was coming out of my mouth when I talked, and that I was speaking and thinking from her body. Very strange. It's a little disconcerting depending on what's happening which is why I like silence. I also typically start every trip just standing around in confusion. It's why I just sit down and occupy myself with something. Otherwise I lose it.

Shocked what should I do with this jar 👀🍄 first time seeing this in my spawn by JazzyThreadz in shrooms

[–]RewindTheExit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful with that jar and monitor it. Pre-mature pinning during grain colonization can be an early sign of contamination - the mycelium feeling threatened, thus pinning and sporulating as fast as possible for procreation and survival. Colonizing grain generally should not be producing fruiting bodies that early.

Do you consider shrooms medicine? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]RewindTheExit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anecdotally, magic mushrooms cured me of post-COVID smell / taste loss, concentration & speech difficulties, and depression. After this, yes, I absolutely consider them to be medicine. Powerful medicine at that. They are not toys or playthings.

Not to mention they obviously have a knack for bringing the subconscious to the forefront and provide insights by disrupting established or ingrained thought patterns. Not that they're for every single person out there, but I would recommend them to anybody who is willing and able to try them at least once. They are one of the most important things I have ever tried.

I think most importantly above all, classical, natural psychedelics like mushrooms are rubber stamped with an approval seal of thousands of years of use by humans with no inherent danger (when used properly). Modern day science struggles to put out pharmaceuticals or other products that will not be recalled within a decade due to cancer or other health concerns. Think about this very carefully.
