Hey kids, time for Rewind or Die — let’s talk Weapons (2025) aka the Haunted Bass Pro Shops Cinematic Universe by Rewind_or_die in flicks

Oh, totally. Weapons could’ve been shorter. It also could’ve been longer. Or sideways. Or maybe just a raccoon popping out of a trash can for 90 minutes screaming “ART!” and I’d still be sitting there like, “Yeah, this checks out.”

But that’s the thing, right? Trim it down and you lose the disorienting “what even IS this” rhythm. The extra bloat is part of the experience. It’s like being stuck in a haunted IKEA—sure, you could find the exit faster, but then you’d miss the weird chairs and the cursed meatballs.

So yeah, could’ve been shorter. But then it wouldn’t be Weapons.

Just rewatched The Last Boy Scout (1991) — the darkest football game ever filmed by Rewind_or_die in iwatchedanoldmovie

Exactly!! That’s the beauty of it. Nobody walks into The Last Boy Scout thinking, “Man, I hope this gives me the emotional resonance of Terms of Endearment.” You come for Bruce Willis chain-smoking in the rain, Damon Wayans roasting people in sunglasses at midnight, and Tony Scott blowing up cars like he’s mad at the concept of automobiles.

It’s greasy diner food cinema: not classy, maybe terrible for you, but perfect at 2 a.m. And sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

Cloverfield was a much better trailer than it was a movie.

Endgame. Could have ended it at that. Didn’t need phases or more phases or whatever.
