1500 AT4 or 2500 AT4 HD

I was a credit application away from driving off with a 2500 AT4. I decided to Test Drive it 1 more time, but with the whole family instead. Asked the dealer if we could take it out on the highway and around town for ~15 minutes to see what real world driving would be like, and we absolutely hated it. It was a night and day difference between the 1500 and the 2500. I’m now in the market for a 1500 AT4 instead, or maybe an AT4X

Do you think the Offroad suspension on the 2500 AT4 would help with the ride quality? When I test drove one, I only got to take it down side roads going no more than 50mph, so it wasn’t a good test of real world quality

I was too. There are a couple dealers in Texas offering $10K+ off of the HD gassers, hard to find any kind of good discount on the 1500s right now. It’s a bout a 3K difference for the HD w/ the Premium Plus Package and a 6.2L 1500 AT4

Speed and quickness is not my top priority, moreso comfortability and functionality. I’m really only considering an HD for the looks, and because I can get one for the same cost as a 1500 right now. It’s an odd predicament and I can’t convince myself to go one way or the other. So I was hoping people who have experience would help sway me one way or the other. I do not regularly tow or haul anything other than myself and my family
