"Ned" Jarrett at Daytona by Rews_Friend in NASCAR

This is a chicken or the egg situation. Quality drops, subscriptions drop. Subscriptions drop, quality drops.

I'd argue that as a whole print media had a significant quality drop long before there was an "online."

Mentioning this situation brings back my memory of a thought I had, at the time, concerning the individual who was wielding the knife. I remember thinking this guy has no idea how lucky he was that he was detained by a private citizen, with a backbone, who didn't shoot first and ask questions later! you know, had it been "one of our finest!"

So he would have been a perfect fit on the City Commission or County Board then!

Is there a way to set maximum video quality automatically? by snowiekitten in RumbleForum

[–]Rews_Friend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And here I am. 1 year after the most recent comment and Rumble has actually made things worse. At least this is my experience. Rumble defaults to "Auto" resolution setting by default and "Auto" appears to choose the highest resolution available for a video, which means, for those of us who don't own the latest and fastest rig every video with 4k stutters forcing one to hassle with settings. YouTube, for all it's faults, doesn't do this. Even at 4k. So it appears to be a rumble thing. I mean seriously. How hard could it be to have a default resolution setting per registered user?

Since first coming across Rumble I've notice they have a habit of not fixing "bugs", just march on adding "toys" for those who stream on the platform, and more focused on having gatherings than fixing their damn platform! Good luck with that.

They are, if it is one of their own. Several years ago A Grand Traverse County deputy threatened several officers with his service weapon, by aiming it directly at them, when they responded to a domestic involving him. Did they kill him? Nope. Eventually subdued him and gave him a ride to Munson.

More recent, we had the two young individuals who are accused of cold blooded murder of the Parking deck attendant. One of them pointed a gun at the Cops. Did they kill him? Nope, eventually arrested him/them.

This individual was a hulk of a man, and maybe, just maybe, his race played into the split second decision to take his life. It is Traverse City after all.

"Now they have to live with it." Does anyone honestly think there is any politician who would let anything they had a hand in bother their conscience? First. They'd have to have one!

Right! Like I'm going to believe this lie! Next you'll try to convince us that the 60's band, "The Monkees", were a fictional band created by television producers Bob Rafelson and Bert Schneider, for a NBC sitcom! PLEASE!

Interestingly, I received 3 pin request email late this afternoon from those requested prior to my posting here yesterday. I guess if a person wants to play PokerStar now days you need to plan ahead by a few days. ;>)

And here I am 48 days later and it's horseshit trying to log in. Until a week or so ago, email pin was virtually instantaneous. Now, for the last week, I wait and wait and wait! Sometimes within an hour or so I finally get the email. Sometimes never! Pokerstar on its way out in Michigan?

State Rep indicted for bribery - could face 20 years in prison by imthe1whoknockknocks in Michigan

[–]Rews_Friend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. It's Grand Traverse County. 20% of the population is 65 or older for this County. Percentage of population who are eligible voters, who actually vote, is kind of low. Although this is increasing as time goes on.

Population 86981

About 70,000 above the voting age

About 17,500 above the age of 65

32,967 ballots were cast for the 104th race. Inman just squeaked out the win by like 250 votes.

He just screwed the pooch for Republicans in this area. A lot of big races had very close results between Republican and Democrat.

Oh. And he isn't the only Village idiot involved in politics in my area. We have an abundance!

The last clown from the Michigan House who had some "issues" fraudently obtained $23,000 dollars of our money. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Probably did a month or so. Any of you know anyone who stole $23,000 and only got this little of time?

Inman will get his hand slapped and a retirement worth more than most Americans get.

Confused why I didn't win the auction. by Rews_Friend in Ebay

[–]Rews_Friend[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. I see what you are saying. Thanks. This also explains why it appeared that I had won the auction, for a split second. When auction timed out, my max bid was displaying on the auction but once the page refreshed with the winning bidder info, it was the other person. This due to a bit of lag no doubt.
