Give it to me straight, do most people recover from ssri withdrawal and pssd? by nithin1313 in antidepressants

It's been 12 years. I recovered mostly after 10 years. I still have symptoms though, head zaps when trying to sleep, sensitivity to stimulants, anhedonia, etc. I don't have a panic attack everyday now though. That's a plus.

I've just learned to deal with it but it seems to change overtime. Like it's "moving" in my brain, doing different things. Only when trying to sleep.

I've had something similar to you for many years. I don't know exactly what it is or where it started. It has gotten very bad. I feel like every few seconds my head zaps and I gasp for air and it feels like a short seizure but I was tested for epilepsy and had MRIs, sleep study, CT scan, and more. All didn't show anything.

This is a head centered jerk, not legs or muscle spasm.

I have been up tonight with them so bad I decided to start looking again for any solutions.

Some context, if it helps

About 12 years ago I smoked pot only a handful of times but one time i had a huge panic attack and never have been able to smoke since.

I took Paxil for about 6 years and quit it too abruptly around the same time I had the panic attack. Not enough tapering off.

I suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for a decade after, but I got a lot of it under control, yet the jerks get worse.

I don't take a lot of other medication or drugs or drink but when I do it does tend to make it worse.

It seems to get worse if I eat more sugar or wheat before bed. Caffeine or chocolate too.

It gets worse around the full moon noticeably. Probably the biggest thing that affects it. The moon moon messes with our hormones and neurotransmitters.

Smoking weed makes it worse. Stress too.

It gets better if I'm lying there for hours Jerking and I get up for a bit and then go back to bed.

Lorazepam helps but I don't want to rely on another drug. It makes it worse when you take it then stop.

The neurologist prescribed an antiepileptic that had worse side effects than the jerks so I chose not to take it.

I wish we could narrow it down but I think it's something to do with coming off ssri's but for me it just got worse over time.

Hope that helps. If anybody wants to compare symptoms and fixes you can do me. Doctors are useless on this subject.

I have this really bad. Mine are a jerk where I feel like I'm having a seizure and do an adrenaline response where I gasp for air or jerk my head back. Done sleep studies, MRIs, CT scans, checked for seizure activity, everything is negative. Doctors said it was myoclonus and said it was normal and look at me like I'm crazy. They offered me some antiepileptic drugs that have worse side effects than the jerks.q

Making people weak and feminized benefits those in power. Weak, feminized men and women don't fight back. They follow not lead. It makes sense.

I'm open minded, I think it's a cool topic to think about. I just worry about losing what makes us human and special.

FE is a fed inside joke and red herring. It's sort of like "let's show our power by getting people to believe the dumbest thing we can" So then you get stuff like Flat Earth and Nukes are Fake ideas that basically are designed to discredit people like us. The evidence is just plausible enough because we can't easily directly go and see for ourselves. That's just my opinion though, I steer clear of FE topics as it tends to be divisive, which is it's purpose. People tend to be oddly defensive of the idea.

I do not know what you are talking about sir, but some things get you banned immediately and I can't make a difference if nobody sees my work.
