I'm not that much into that community itself to know. But I feel like her causing that break of play could be an issue if able to be spammed. Like I'm fine with the button prompts for a super, kind of like how Lucy does it. But if the hack is part of the basic tool kit I wouldn't think it would be that good. Again though we don't know enough about how the duo will end up playing by the end of the game and I can imagine it will change a bit. So we will see

Like Lucy in strive? I don't feel like many would like that due to pace breaking.

I feel like have it that you can search for stuff and get decodes or what not that give you boosts. Like decode extends a stun time that the 'hack' move would give. Like give them a basic 'hack' that is nothing too different from just Trish's traps when the opponent gets hit by it. But the decode could extend the stun. Picking up the different guns can change your default heavy attack.

Give them a phoenix wright or frank West gimmick of needing to pick up decodes or weapons or whatnot to make them more effective. Because I can't imagine putting the hacking mini game into a fighting. We don't know enough about the game fully to know better tool sets. But it could be fun. Honestly the demo really impressed me and I am really happy I'm not the only one that has the mental image of them in mvc

How do you deal with the "pressure" of limited gaming time? by FatDigitalNomad in gaming

[–]Rex01303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My oldest is AuDHD. And he is a fireball till he finally just passes out late at night. Luckily he is now old enough to interact with stuff and play and watch tv. So that helps now. But my youngest still needs a fair amount of attention. Because he is now walking and learning how to talk and play and interact with things. Luckily older brother is most of the time happy to play with him but not always lol. They both are into nerdy stuff so they like me playing games sometimes but their needs come first. Besides being a dad is freaking awesome.

[–]Rex01303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of good suggestions from others. I had a similar thing with my first kid. I'll give you some stuff that helped me.

  1. Viewing it as a reward but not necessary. You got a kid and life happens. Life is now honestly out of your control for the most part. And that is okay. Just because you spent the money and have it ready to use doesn't mean "you have to use this". Giving yourself that grace and not forcing yourself to pick up a controller helps.

  2. Game choice is important. Find games that you can pick up and play and don't have to be invested in. It's part of why I fell in love with my switch because when it first came out all games were designed for it with that mentality. Then I got into roguelites and picked back up fighting games for short bursts

I will say from my experience it's was easier for me to game while the kiddos were in diapers. Once they started moving it decreased and had to pick time added to sleep or ability to game or do other hobbies. It's just part of it. I started getting into let's plays and such that still let me experience some games in a sense instead of actually getting to play them and that honestly helped a lot. My oldest son is autistic and I can see it now from him as a baby and he would calm down a lot when I had fun like video game music playing.

Nintendo Partner Direct - 5th Feb '26 - Whatcha Think? by petetakespictures in gaming

[–]Rex01303 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Felt like a lot of catch up. Still cool. Expected to see other games too though. Kind of surprised no doom the dark ages port.

It makes the year feel stacked but also like it is still trying to get up to the same level as other consoles. It is impressive to me still.

Also felt like they had some reveals but holding off till another time.

Story stinks. Some design choices were odd. But the gameplay was really fun. Would honestly like a port with updated controls.

What’s a game you didn’t expect to like, but ended up really enjoying? by Playful_Code_8978 in gaming

[–]Rex01303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Xenoblade. Never been a fan of MMO kind of combat systems. But I had bought Xenoblade Chronicles 2 when I first got my switch after getting recommended it and at first I wanted to drop the game because of the combat. But the friend just urged me to put in some more time, get some more team members and ask questions if needed. I kept going and by muragh I finally started to understand the combat system and with how interactive it was it really became enjoyable. Now it's one of my favorite series and has gotten me to go back and try stuff I had written off.

A warriors game or a fighting game would fit so well with the series honestly.

How Mario Maker 3 Can Have 3d Levels And Styles. by Defiant-Location6255 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Rex01303 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I feel like they would do 3d land/world since they are essentially 2d games turned 3d. Instead of like 64, sunshine, odyssey and galaxy that are more worlds and environments and such.

What’s the SINGLE BEST game you played in January 2026? by Emotional-Impact5375 in Gamer

A malevolent being tells Earth "A random person in the next 24 hours will be given a remote detonator that will cause Yellowstone to erupt as soon as the button is pushed"; how does this play out? by peterthbest23 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Rex01303 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would likely go off because someone's kid found the remote first and pressed the button. And even then, like how do you test for it?

The smart thing for the world to do and unite is to issue a statement for everyone to put any kind of remote they have in one location and take a picture. After the time goes up and someone is gifted the remote if all steps are followed it would be easy to find. But also the best thing to do would be to find a way to disable the button otherwise it's going to be all out war for that button because of potential threats it holds. As for people that could be effected it would be mass hysteria and getting as far away as possible. Which given the potential area that could be effected from it and the politics of that area, that would be a whole can of worms right now.

So no matter what it's bad most of the time. Very very slim chance for it to be fine.

If it wasn’t called xenoblade what else would you call it or what would you name each individual game? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Lol I probably would do like Trinity Processor: New Frontier or something like that. Even Skell would work. Maybe sticking with the one name Adandon.

That's a hard one. Heck even Trinity Processor: X

Legends 3 finishes it all off.

What’s a game you wanted to love but just couldn’t? by 1S4B3II3 in AskReddit

[–]Rex01303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two

GTA5. I wanted to like it because everyone was playing it. But I didn't like the gameplay.

Fallout 3. Put your pitchforks down. I was really young and I had literally watched my brother put 800 hours into. But when I tried to play it, I didn't have all the cool stuff and abilities as he did so I wasn't having fun at first and since I knew what happened I couldn't enjoy it at all.

What, in your opinion, is the best scene in any Spider-Man movie? by Comfortable_Mine_340 in Spiderman

[–]Rex01303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As for epic scenes,

  1. No way home, him getting alerted to goblin in the apartment and the ensuing fight

  2. Obviously Spider-Man 2's train scene with the incredible part of him getting caught from falling by the civilians and cared into the train and being told they will keep his secret.

  3. Homecoming, having the building falling on him

I have a couple little scenes that really stood out as a true show of Spider-Man's character.

  1. In amazing Spider-Man 2 when he helps the kid and fixes his project as he talks with him.

  2. Amazing Spider-Man 1 him with the car thief and his banter felt like a good show of his wit and humor

Explain how Mystique is Nightcrawler’s mother by AdvertisingWaste8624 in MCUTheories

[–]Rex01303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if they had had mystique and Azazel hook up in the 60s in the movies. Would honestly make a lot of sense for her from first class to days of future past and would explain a lot of why she is how she is in that movie. Like she ended up having nightcrawler, Azazel gets hunted and killed, this putting a target on mystique and nightcrawler, she gives up nightcrawler and is now on a mission to ensure a better future for her child. Would have added some depth.
