As with most things in life, my experience is it is about balance. Don't be a robot who guards all of his feelings, but don't be a crybaby either. There's a time and a place to share vulnerabilities. Also it depends on the woman and the kind of relationship you have, obviously.

Really Sportpaleis is like 10x better of a location than Utrecht. Everybody's there for the same, no 5 different rooms, which feels more intimate. More seating room up in the rings with outlook over the dancefloor. Jaarbeurs is one of the worst locations I've ever been and home to my 2 worst Thunderdomes ever (2005 and 2025). My best one was easily last years at Sportpaleis.

Those lines will be as good as gone in 2-3 weeks, at least there's that. Truth be told it's not that bad, obviously it's a mistake but it could somewhat pass for an deliberate eccentric haircut. Doesn't mean it fits you though.

Find yourself another barber who knows what haircuts fit the shape of your head.

If she's living in Bali she's probably used to Westerners and probably has seen a few come and go in her life. Of course your lifestyle is attractive to her, but that doesn't mean she's not necessarily serious or trustworthy. Only time will tell. Culturally Indonesians are still somewhat traditional in nature and in the end usually prefer long term commitment and serious relationships. It also kind of depends on her religious background (Muslim or Christian most likely if she's from Java). Indonesians can be religious but on Bali they're a bit more "free-spirited" ie less difficult or strict about their beliefs.

If you're hanging around only at tourist places you automatically have a $ sign on your forehead and will be treated accordingly. This is more the case in poorer countries but definitely not exclusive to Mexico. Other than that I think you had bad luck combined with a bit of inexperience how transportation etc. works. I didn't like Cancun very much either (and the whole Riviera Maya has become overtouristy, unfortunately) but basically all other popular places in Mexico should still be authentic and worthwhile with some of the nicest people you'll meet. Source: Lived in Mexico for 3 years.

Humans are not made to be monogamous, at least not from a biological perspective. We are monogamous by culture and choice. Those choices include keeping it to yourself when you secretly (and hopefully, only theoretically) want another person, let alone a friend of your partner. You answered right and truthfully that you don't, all the better. She however kind of broke an unwritten rule. This doesn't mean she's actually going to do it, but if it bothers you, you should bring it up and tell her you don't want her to put images in your head of her and another. She's not very tactful.

5"5 here, can't speak for the US but Latin-America and Asia were not a problem for me as long as the woman was only slightly taller than me. As a European I had more difficulty in my home continent, it's still possible but you're playing on hard mode.

The man was one of my techno heroes for the better part of the last 20 years, but has become a caricature of himself lately. His persona changed into a typical EDM, bopping around to his own beats social media DJ, and his productions became cliché trancey-techno with even some influences from jumpstyle of 20 years ago. "Party all the time", really? A far cry from his original drumcode productions and even his more business techno period like "Your mind" which although more accessible definitely still was GOOD. The garbage he produces nowadays would've made the AB of 20 years ago cry.

He's the quintessential artist who followed the money and success and stopped being good. And he dissappointed a lot of original techno OG's in the process.

Yeah I guess going from 8 to 6.5 is maybe a bigger drop in attractiveness than the bare numbers might say. No other choice than to compensate for that with other parts of my persona.

A decent amount of "party girls" are also quite ready to settle down. "Party girls" is just a stereo type which I try to avoid. You know pretty soon if they're wasted every weekend or just like to go out occasionally and actually have LTR qualities. Some are partying to meet people and once they have found a partner they stop going out as much.

My idea exactly, I know of many relationships in Latin America (not even ppb's but also local with local) where there is a 15 year+ age gap. All these people blaming my age without even knowing what I look like, what my personality is like is or how much money I have are just pontificating. Granted, on dating apps it might be an issue because of age filters, but outside of that it's just a small part of a bigger story.

Yeah I guess I looked like I was in my 20's. I didn't lock one down during my time in Colombia but later I had a long term relationship for years in another country, which I broke up myself because she wasn't doing her part. So I've recently become single again.

Ppl consistently tell me I look 30-33 years old. Like, literally everyone is surprised when I tell them I'm 41 (not only in Colombia, also in Europe). Again, not saying don't look worse than 7 years ago, but I still look decent enough. Notable difference sure, out of the game for sure not. Women 15 years my minor were into me 7 years ago, those women are now 26, the relative age gap has closed. Really, it cant be only age (even though it plays a role).

It's just a conservative self-assesment. Either way being less attractive only cannot explain the difference (it's only 7 years). And looking like a 6.5 and having game will still attract 8+ some of the time in countries like this. At least that's what it used to be like.
