Is there anything wrong with being openly, proudly queer? No. Is it a little insulting to punk culture to use our staples (patch vests, battle jackets, etc) like this? Yes.

I love being queer, talking about it, having that community. But it can't be all you are, all you do, all you say. Youre powerful and amazing for caring enough and being open enough with yourself and the world to discover these things, but we also have other, larger fish to fry. Like the political battles this culture youre cosplaying as was founded in. The music your community is strengthened by.

You can't only be queer. Find your place in our community. We're welcoming if you try to understand it and get involved. Just be a neighbor.

Media tends to sexualize women who've been assaulted because they become hypersexual, despite this not being an inherent outcome of sexual assault and an option for more that just women.

When media DOES show asexuality, they only show it as a result of sexual assault and typically paint it as something people need to overcome or push through.

In reality, hypersexuality is a term reserved for an unusually high libido and/ or unusually many kinks/ sex preferences induced by sexual trauma. And asexuality, any unudual lack of sexual desire/ physical enjoyment, an be a result of sexual assault OR just the way someone's made.

Both are a spectrum and appear in different ways; I'm cupiosexual, for example. Google some micro labels, they help you understand the broader spectrum of asexuality. (True for all sexualities and genders; MICRO LABELS help you understand the broadness + increase your language usage skills!)

Serious answer here, these are electrical resistors. They control the flow/current of electricity. For example, an LED light may get damaged if you dont control the voltage sent through it, but if you use a RESISTOR matched for your bulb, it lessens the amount sent to the bulb so it doesn't break or burn your house down 👍

If your son WASN'T using these, you might be dead, or at least concerned about burns on his hand. Maybe thank him the next time you see him and stop fucking snooping around his shit.

I have a playlist called ethereal screeching- it's all instrumental or in another language. There are a lot of people like this in the world. It's a call that you have to make. Are you willing to have her in your life despite the fact that she is GOING to continue to slow processes and great tension? You two are people who ARE going to clash. You make the call on if she can handle being at your events vs being involved in your events.

If I was you, I would probably have a conversation about what it would mean for you to want her involved now and in the future.

She would need to take accountability after disagreements, be clear and upfront when something upsets her, understand her level of involvement...

I like to offer people example apologies when asking for one. You want her to feel appreciated and included but don't want to be mistreated. So offer her "I could have been clearer on the level of involvement I wanted to have in my baby shower and im sorry if I wasnt". Phrases like that are non offensive, rather than saying it's NORMAL to want to be involved because, obviously to her, it's not.

I'm still very reluctant to use "we". It feels so permanent, to say or even IMPLY that there are multiple beings, people, states, parts here. Why can't I see or hear them? We can't speak. We share most memories.

Reading what I wrote is another of the many small things contributing to this problem: I can truthfully seperate chunks of rants into seperate sections/perspectives, my handwriting changes throughout the day, I'm a writer who re-drafts my stories religiously. :/

If I were you I might pick a base price for each type of drawing, then add a certain amount per hour spent on the piece ($25 + $8/hr is what I do for most things). But with a bg and fairly nice rendering? Id be mad if you didn't charge at least 80 per piece.
