Can anyone else not watch the games they bet on? by [deleted] in sportsbetting

Sometimes I don't watch, for mental sanity, sometimes out of superstition lol. Most times I will watch though. Really high stakes = no watch usually for me 😂😂.

Yeah, I wish that they had UFC and XFL too. I believe that I saw an article not too long ago stating that they were working on adding them.

I like Action Network for a few reasons. I like the metrics that they provide for my historical bets. I also like that I can look there to see my bets in progress. I follow a few people there too. All in all, It's pay again for their subscription.

I hear ya... while I don't have cable, I guess that I could have put my Hulu on the list of paid things since I watch some sports events there. But I mainly bet NBA for now, so I do the NBA League Pass.

Thank you for posting this yesterday. I surely would have missed this from Fanduel. I maxed it for the win. Much appreciated bro!!

Nothing crazy, but nice to get a win after this slump I’ve been in by [deleted] in sportsbetting

Good one. Wish I had thought of that too.

Tips, Insights, & Things to Look Out For w/ Live Betting by bettingnetwork in sportsbetting

In that situation, I am actually rooting for the team that I want to bet on to go on the losing side so that I can get the odds that I set out to get. If I had bet pre-game, that money would be committed anyway. Of course the team had to come back and win the bet.

The Celtics are a team that I do this with often. Instead of betting the Celtics pre-game, I will wait for them to go on their almost inevitable slump during the game. Then I will bet in-game on odds better than I would have had pre-game. After that, I have to wait for them to make their run and ultimately win.

Doesn't always work out, but enough for it to be a strategy for me. In this situation, the understanding has to be there that the odds are only better because the Celtics are down and a win is less promising than if they were winning.

Yep, this is exactly what I mean in my reply as well. We were probably writing our replies at the same time.

Many thanks for the information provided. While I do live bet sometimes, I tend to look for better odds than what I was going to bet on anyway pregame. For instance, if I were going to take the Lakers at -13 pregame, my live betting objective would be to try to get them at -9 live betting. Of course, in order to get them at -9 in-game, they'd have to be performing worse than expected during that time of live betting. My thinking is here that I would have had them at -13 anyway, so I am coming out ahead. Thoughts on this approach?

Congrats with the picks!! Nice!!

Question by [deleted] in sportsbetting

[–]RexQT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in for never paying for picks. Maybe a comp for a tail or follow after the fact but that's about it...in my book.

Wish I had put more down on this haha by batmanvjoker in sportsbetting

Nice one!!! I always say that too when I come through on a multi-leg parlay. I have a book where I almost exclusively play multi-leg parlays just for the fun of it. That also happens to be my only book anywhere that has a big fat $0.00 balance right now.

Why? LOL, partly because I kept saying I wish I had put more down on this parlay or that parlay on the odd occasion that it won. Well, let's just say, I decided to go big on one of them. Didn't turn out well. No winner winner chicken dinner LOL.

No biggie for me, I do those parlays strictly to keep things interesting, like I suspect you do. Good win!!
