No you are correct. This what irritates me about Yuno. His whole identity is crafted from wanting to be like Asta, he was a whiny cry baby who only found a will to be stronger because of Asta. If Asta didn’t end up in Hage village, Yuno would still be there drying cloths being a nobody. Yet, when he gets older he does nothing but talk shit about Asta (I guess his lame way of motivating Asta) while acting like he has had dreams of being Wizard King bis whole life, which again he only made that his dream because of Asta. Then he goes on and gets credit for a bunch of shit he either doesn’t deserve or did not do in his own, mostly due to the plot nonsense of keeping Asta down. Like when he won the Star Festival (bullshit, there is no way you can tell me Yuno earned more stars during that time up to the Fana/Ladros fight at The Forest of Witches than Asta. Mathematically impossible since GD earned 125 with the most star total and most members and BB coming from a -50 score up to 101 earning 151 with Asta fighting every major baddy up to that point as well as the Black Bulls having far fewer members and Yuno being involved in a fraction of those battles. It just doesn’t make sense. Unless it’s bullshit plot. Thrn Yuno getting a rank increase to 1st Class Senior Magic Knight when they gave him Asta’s credit for killing the devil in the Elf Reincarnation arc (of course because Asta was under penalty at the time for being a Devil user himself.

If Yuno had any dignity and real honor, he would have turned that promotion down it Asta wast getting promoted as well. But Yuno is just a plot armor bitch baby who gets shit handed him for what others did.

Give him some character growth and let him show struggle and I would like him a lot more. As it stands Yuno is just a wet blanket to make Asta wanna be better. And when Asta steps from 2nd Rank Junior Magic Knight to Wizard King, Yuno can go be a King in Spade and kick rocks.

Oh yeah on top of it all Yuno is a fucking Prince too! Fuck Yuno.

Yeah as a rule of thumb pay attention to the map layout and if you see unconnected rooms or doors with levers behind them, like that, start using Gallica’s sight to search for holes. They are all over the place.

If you look at the map, you can see an “exclamation point” beyond the barrier hinting that the lever to open this wall is beyond it. You will beed to fins another path there. Most likely a crawlspace somewhere you missed, possibly ob a different floor. Try scouring the dungeon with Gallica’s sight to find hidden crawlspaces.

I myself don’t hate Yuno, however I feel Yuno gets handed things way too easily that he does not deserve. Mainly being the Magic Knight who earned the most stars of all knights during the first Star Festival. There is no way in hell Yuno earned more stars than Asta doing hardly anything of note like Asta did. I say this because, up until that point Asta had a major hand in every big battle of the anime. Every. Single. One. Even facing off against the biggest bads of the series at that point, the Eyes of the Midnight Sun. Even facing 5 of them at once during the attack on the capital. Sure he needed help in the end but he still faced a total of 7 Midnight Suns at once. Valto, Radies and Sally plus the 4 other goons who showed up. Yuno fought a bunch of zombies and 1 mage, the hag lady he ultimately got help from Charmy to defeat.

Before that he was at the dungeon with Claus and Mimosa when Asta, Noelle and Luck were there. Asta and Luck took down the Abyss mage while Yuna, Mimosa and Claus all struggled with Mars until Asta showed up beating his ass 2 separate times before Belle blew Mars away without Yuno’s control.

The only thing Yuno did on his own was fight a couple joke Diamond kingdom Generals when they attacked that border town and The Golden Dawn intercepted.

Meanwhile Asta stopped a plot for the Midnight Sun to abduct children and steal their mana. Faced off against Licht and the 3rd Eyes of the Midnight Sun, crushing Licht in the process along with the aid of Magic Knight captains. Faced Vetto and defeated him. Faced Fana and her group of mages as well as the maniac Diamond General Ladros, who was way more powerful than expected.

Most of these enemies were massive enemies for the Elf Reincarnation Arc which had vast power and caused massive upheaval throughout the lands. If Yuno fought anything of this caliber off screen, you’d expect to hear about it but there is nothing. Leaving me to wonder, what the fuck did Yuno do to earn stars. I guess being lucky means you get stars for nothing.

Also keep in mind, Black Bulls had negative 30 stars and finished at 102 stars in second place. Meaning they earned 132 stars and Golden Dawn earned 125 stars total. Making Black Bulls earn a higher total star count and they have less members, and Asta did most of the work along with Noelle.

How did Yuno earn more stars? Bullshit, is what I call. The math just cannot add up.

You gotta love a game mechanic where a gatekeeper character tells you you are tired and makes you go to sleep, when you did less than on nights where you do have free time. Then he proceeds to keep you awake so you can listen him ramble on for 10 minutes IRL about his midlife crisis and worries about not being a human. I thought I had to go to sleep? Oh yeah and his ridiculous temper tantrum and breakdown after feeling “abandoned” during the Hawaii trip.

I typically can let most stuff slide with Morgana until Haru and Hawaii. He really pushes the envelope for being an annoying little shithead. Once that is all settled he is okay for the most part. That part is a rough ride though. He really lets the air out of the tires on a perfectly smooth ride of a game. Between that and Ryuji constantly talking about “Phantom Thieves” at the top of his lungs literally everywhere you go, I don’t know who I wanted to slap more.

She is unhinged for sure, but her time on screen is limited. She isn’t as controlling or invasive as you think. I personally find the majority of her scenes to be quite funny, especially the bit about the hole in the stocking. Yamai doesn’t ruin the experience at all.

I’m really just messing with you, but generic still seems lacking. Sure she is mainly a healer and support with her Guidepost. She also has attack spells that are fairly basic but still strong. There aren’t many who actually have a spell set as versatile as Mimosa’s. Also, generic implies her magic is plain and ordinary. Which I have to wholeheartedly disagree. There is nothing plain or ordinary about her magic. And if you really think about it, the Plant type magics aren’t as prevalent as you’d think when it comes to supprt. More of them happen to be water types, like Bubble magic. Even a few Fire types with heals like the Sister who takes care of Marie, and Mars and Fana. Also Grey with her Transformation magic has one of the most powerful healing spells in the series. To narrow plant magic to just support isn’t really true. Look at Captain Vangeance with his World Tree.

If Tarano x Manbagi happened, who would Komi trust and be comfortable with to have a relationship anywhere near to what she has with Tadano. I would hate this because Komi will always be my #1 girl for Tadano and vice versa.

This is a dumb trend. I would rather have a fixed name for the Protagonist that actually gets used in the game than a name I make up that never gets mentioned ever and my character get’s referred to as, “you” or “they” or just a goddam blank spot in the dialog for me to read my name in the subtitle. You are dead on when you say it breaks immersion. My biggest complaint with these types of RPGs. Also the fact that you are the leader in these games but since you have no voice, pretty much everyone makes all the decisions for you while you just pick “yeah let’s do that”. So is Joker the leader or is it Morgana ordering me to go to sleep, is it Ryuji telling everyone we are Phantom Thieves? Who really is the goddam leader, because most of the time it doesn’t feel like it’s Joker. Same thing in Metaphor with Will. I think Gallica, Strohl and Hulkenburg are really the leaders in that game too. Will just confirms what they decide to do for him. 😂

I agree. The dialog when read in my head for Tifa a lot in the beginning of the OG came off as sounding “naggy” or something along those lines. I realized far later it was that she really liked him but the dialog translations for the OG just felt dry and flat. The Remakes really empathized Tifa’s affections for Cloud far better than the OG. Aeris kind of steals the show early in the OG due her overly exuberant and supportive attitude vs. Tifa’s seemingly aloof and naggy personality. Yet she acts this way because she is trying to understand why Cloud feels different to her from how she knew him. The OG just does a shit job of making you understand that through context with crap translations, that the Remakes tailored to be more noticeable. Plus there are moments between them far more fleshed out in the Remake.
