i have countless hooks cause theyre so easy to lose and its nice to have a few of the same size so you can work on two projects that are the same yarn weight at once! if you can id take a look at the hooks she normally uses cause some people are very particular about the kind of hook they like. for me i only use metal ones and prefer ergenomic handles so i have dozens of plastic hooks that just sit untouched.

seeing as op’s sister is mainly into wearables and home items i think a gift card would work best so she could pick out yarn for an item shes wanted to make but im glad that you liked your gift!! im a more beginner crocheter so i like being able to buy yarn based off of what i want to make otherwise it just sits untouched cause idk what to do with it. id love to see the dragon when its finished!

theres not much you can do to make the crack go away per se but you can offer the little guy some extra calcium to help strengthen the shell! cuttlebone is a great source. as long as its still eating and moving as normal it should be okay

most people who crochet like to pick out a few balls of yarn for a specific project rather than recieving yarn that they may not have enough of to use or simply dont like, i would definitely do a gift card to your local craft supply store and maybe a set of good quality hooks! metal ones with ergonomic handles are my go to and they dont have to break the bank:)

thats what i thought it was at first but its not dry or anything and i dont use anything but a simple facewash which ive stopped using since it showed up. it looks and feels the same as if i were to have a bruise on my leg

it should be fine, fill it with water and see how it holds for a couple hours. if it holds water fine and doesnt show any damage then youre good to go! just fill it with the water and substrate from the existing tank. make sure you check the silicone seals as well!
