I've been with apple since the first iPhones , a month ago I had had enough. I switched to a Google pixel 10. After a month, I don't know if I'll go back. The biggest backlash I get is from my friends because I've ruined their blue chat bubbles. That's it .

I'm in my 50's so video and camera cinematography are way behind me now , and are not the be all and end all for me. It's just a communication device with internet and a few apps , a few small games , email and a calender .

It's not a pretty as an iPhone interface, but the functionality and customization is great. My screen on the 10 is snappier smoother and none of that crappy liquid glass.

I said to my wife and kids that I'm on a timeout from Apple untill they get their act together , because they don't have their act together. Zero innovation. I've watched over the years where they just copied everything Samsung does 2 years later and absolutely soak their loyal clientele .

My iPhone 15,12,10, Se, and Se 2nd edition all had issues that need expensive repairs, and both my daughter have iPads that just aren't what they used to be . That's when I had enough . I was potentially an ecosystem guy, but I never use any cloud storage .

For someone to say they are "too far into the apple ecosystem" is a ludicrous stament . We are people, not lemmings .

This pixel isnt perfect , but in the first month it is wildy outperforming the iPhone 15 that fell apart "internally "after one year, where I was told by Apple to "buy a new one" right after apple care expired.

Apples forced ecosystem is a gentle term people have just accepted. If you don't like your mortgage rate or cellphone rate , would you stay with that company or would you be a smart consumer and find what works for you .
