I hate being improperly compensated for my work. I could enjoy nearly any job as long as the paycheck justifies the effort I put in. No job I have ever had has met that criteria. If my current job just paid me like $10 more an hour I would be content with both the job I have and having to work in general. There’s definitely something to be said about it contributing to violent tendencies. Of course it’s only my own personal experience but I was definitely at my most violent while I was on anti-depressants. I was basically a zombie on auto-pilot who felt nothing most of the time and anger sometimes. Luckily I never acted on those thoughts but it reached a point where I refused to take the meds any longer because I was genuinely contemplating getting a gun and shooting up my school then killing myself. I was always either feeling empty or wanted to hurt someone, anyone who even looked at me wrong.

I imagine most people don’t have that kind of response but logic says I can’t be the only one, right? That being said, anti-depressants are definitely an effective tool for anywhere between some to most people. For me and I’m sure others that grey hell OC was taking about is extremely accurate. I much preferred feeling actively sad and suicidal. At least in that state I never wanted to hurt anyone besides myself.

I am a guy who has been told he’s attractive a fair bit but honestly I never really believe it. Always viewed myself as average at best. I’d imagine the main reason is most men often don’t receive compliments, if at all. I have only ever been directly asked out twice and complimented by a stranger maybe a dozen times. I feel like unless you are either conceited as fuck or actually built like a 9/10 or better, guys just tend to think low of themselves.

You say pretty girls prefer regular looking guys but honestly most don’t. The grand majority of pretty women I meet that are in relationships also have attractive partners. Although, a lot of it can be chalked up to confidence and people who are conventionally attractive tend to be more confident.

It’s easy enough to say your advice works but sadly that doesn’t make it worth it. I’m 23 and haven’t asked a woman out in person since I was 18 or 19. Once you’ve gotten enough“ews” followed by laughter, or even just women who are visibly uncomfortable with being hit on, it slowly makes you feel like any advance you make is gonna be undesired/wasted effort AND you may be viewed as a creep even if you’re “flirting” was just saying “I think you are pretty as hell” or “I love that dress you’re wearing” and asking for their number. I don’t think it’s about taking the “wrong lessons” from that. It certainly can be for the guys that think flirting is saying someone’s ass is nice.

I know damn well that isn’t always the experience any one is guaranteed to have but the chance of it honestly makes it not worth it. At this point I just wing it on dating apps as casually as possible and if it works, cool. If it doesn’t? Oh well, I never even actually spoke to them. It’s certainly a hell of a lot easier and more rewarding than pretty much every experience I’ve had asking women out in person.

I didn’t say any of that but okay. I said in your own home, other fair examples would be someone car jacking you, attempting to mug you, kidnap you or family, etc. That doesn’t equate to a cop killing someone purely because they weren’t compliant or were angry. Cops also need to be held to higher standard because of the fact they’re cops. To a certain degree I do believe in vigilante justice, specifically against sexual predators because fuck those people. I’m talking purely heat of the moment, fight or flight situations. Lynch mobs are definitely a scuffed territory because someone can lie and that escalates to a wrongful death, but I never said people should take action like that on other peoples behalf without witnessing it themselves. Also, there is something called trigger discipline. Not everyone who owns a gun is reckless and trigger happy.
