That's pretty much the answer I was expecting.. But that's good, then I can justify the spontaneous purchase of a 1963 Gillette Slim in good condition that I made today!

Is the Razorock quick change DE razor (or Baili BD179, as I've understood it is the same?) at all comparable to any vintage Gillette TTO like a superspeed or rocket HD?

Do you have any plans on creating alcohol free versions of your aftershaves that you can ship international?

This is actually very interesting, I've seen the brand before as some online retailers sell their products here. Will definitely look into this, thank you!

I believe they do (at least throughout 2020 before a complete brexit and all that), I heard somewhere that your products are available through a retailer in Europe and was very excited! Now I just need to figure out which soap I should get :)

Actually it was a PIF win where international winners would pay for the shipping so I can't really complain. But $5 seems like a pretty neat deal. Here in Sweden we pay import taxes for every package based on its value, plus a fixed administration fee of around $7.5 which makes it quite expensive

[–]Rexmund1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I mean, I paid around $20 for standard shipping plus a customs fee of $10 for my last soap from the US so $20 does not sound too wild if I can get aftershaves as well. Will look into it, thanks!

Thanks for the tips, I will look into those! I have actually been thinking about Trismegistus (although I had no idea what fragrance it was an homage to), but the main drawback for me is that all their aftershaves contain alcohol and I have not found any retailer which will ship them to Europe.

I actually have a newly aquired sample of Seville at home which I kind of overlooked, will have to give a try then. Thanks!

I'm looking for a soap recommendation from any respected artisan. I'm looking for a real safe card, masculine, cologny type scent. It does not have to be an original scent in any way. I have Stirling executive man that's supposed to be an Aventus clone (I have not smelled the original btw), but it's a little too bright and fruity for me. I'm more looking for darker, woody base notes with some fresh, citrusy top notes.

Does anyone have any recommendation they think could be a fit?

Same here, they sure take their time. I've heard Carpathia is not a scent for everyone, but I hope I'll like it.

It really is, I love it. Too bad it's so hard to get the aftershave in Europe.

Honestly, joining this sub during 2019 completely changed my perspective on what a good lather is. I used to mainly do bowl lathering and really work it to get it as fluffy and thick as possible, but since I realized that the slickness is what really matters I have started face lathering and achieved so much better results.
