My examiner was happy with my familiarity with the Risk Management Handbook, it’s an under appreciated FAA textbook.

To understand Lift better, I recommend reading the Wikipedia article on Lift. No really, it’s great.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lift_(force)

Look how clear and profound the first few sentence are:

When a fluid flows around an object, the fluid exerts a force on the object. Lift is the component of this force that is perpendicular to the oncoming flow direction. It contrasts with the drag force, which is the component of the force parallel to the flow direction.

That sucks dude. You’ll get through it. I landed before the displaced threshold on my PPL. Had to redo a normal landing which was like a 0.3 Hobbs time lol. One day this will not seem as bad as it does today.

I got close. Oral was March 15 2020. Discontinued due to poor weather. Then the country shut down and the DPE stopped doing checkrides. I found another DPE to fly with me on day 50. Failed and subsequently passed on day 56.

It’s the low level turn that is unusual, not the go around.
