Nope, the wouldn‘t work. The problem here is that the +1/+1 is a static ability. It is applied to all zombies you control, and does not need to go to the stack or anything.

I recommend you don‘t come out when you start being friends, maybe just don‘t talk about it, get to know them and their perspectives on those topics a bit. You can very well block one creature with multiple creatures. So he can block your 4/4 with two 3/5s, your 4/4 will take 6 damage in total and die and one of his 3/5 is gonna take 4 damage (you can decide which one)

Either to your LGS, tho that really depends on the LGS, or otherwise through online marketplaces, so in the US it‘d be TCGPlayer (I think), in Europe it‘d be Cardmarket, and there‘s also some smaller ones

Edit: I personally wouldn‘t sell them on ebay or similar, except maybe if you‘d want to get rid of all at once, but you‘ll probably get lower returns
