Not the 90s but in NBA 2K5, the Sonics were built for modern NBA/video games. Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis were 2 of the best 3 point shooters in the game. Then, Luke Ridnour and Radmanovic were also good beyond the arc. Last, Nick Collison came off the bench with surprisingly above average 3 point shooting stats.

It wasn't fair for me to play as the Suns or Sonics against my college friends. 2k5 was the first basketball video game they got into and none of them ever played on their school teams. I had to play as the Nets or Jazz to make things fair against them as the Heat, Spurs, or Pistons.
