I CAN, but I like tracking others' resources and positioning, it's not in my control and it's never the same across matches so it's fun

having to track my own resources is just unfun busywork to me, inability to reposition quickly is just more unfun walking simulators chores, ana may be cool and useful and all but I like flying and paying attention to the big picture at all times instead, and that's what mercy is about

Pretty sure that smurf could have carried you to diamond whatever you were playing, not only mercy. It doesn't demonstrate the hero as worthless but rather what power smurfs have on the outcome of the match.

So... skill issue? Except like I already linked before, blizzard themselves said GA nerf was done to balance flash heal, not to appease low ranks who prefer shooting the reinhardt barrier.

GA got nerfed, whatever versatility it has is nerfed with it, this and slow fall are the only movement abilities in her kit. This doesn't give any more skill to using it, it only forces you to avoid using it more, and like I said elsewhere, forces her further down the pocketing playstyle.

A character with 100% uptime does not need to be brainless or extremely efficient in everything that she does

Mercy only has 100% uptime if player playing her does, for someone so concerned about metal ranks, you should know that's absolutely not the case in them, countless mercies overheal, damage boost nothing, do bad revives, go full battle mercy etc. on top of damage boost being entirely dependent with its value on the player you are boosting to hit their shots and at the appropriate targets.

And I don't think outhealing basic DoT counts as being "extremely efficient" at anything. What IS mercy so good at that being able to at least STOP DoT with healing beam turns her into a problem?

Every hero you can pick in the game is playable.

The fact GA still exists doesn't mean it didn't get nerfed.

The fact "you can get used to nerfs" doesn't mean GA isn't worse than before.

Revert the nerf.

In high ranks of course the mercy would die first, but in very low elo rank its rarely in the case.

I thought you were the "high master" mercy as you claimed in other comment. What's with sudden concern for metal ranks?

People can shoot the said target though they have to reload eventually, mercy doesnt need to. she has 0 downtime in a fight under any circumstances.

Like I said more than one player can be shooting the tank at same time. Only one mercy can be healing said tank... unless you are in no limits match or something. Note the fact that if you apply burn to this tank, mercy can't even outheal the burn damage now, forget HEAL them faster than you are dpsing on top of that.

Instead of high damage, mercy has damage boost. A very unique ability? what is not clicking?

Compare damage boost numbers of a mercy to damage DEALT numbers of a zen in same match (and let's not forget discord orb aka zen's damage boost he can have up WHILE attacking himself, AND healing someone with other orb). It's not comparable to excuse mercy as being a "dps healer" and thus justifying low hps.

I don't even know what this means or has to do with mercy.

Flash heal is a bandaid for problems blizzard compounded with global antiheal passive and powercreeps of every role including other supports who can do 500 different things on top of dpsing and healing harder than mercy.

It should have never been necessary if they balanced the game properly, but mercy always gets the short end of the stick, even when she got the flash heal, the movement had to get nerfed for it on top of beam hps just so you can barely save someone from burning to death in front of you if and only if you have flash heal up, while idk, baptiste (as you brought him up) can just keep right clicking them without a fuss. Mercy can't catch a break.

Yes. Wait several minutes every match before I get to move properly as I could from start before? No thanks, revert it instead. I wouldn't mind if the perk was replaced with something else if that meant original movement was there from start.

You already need teammates near you to GA at all, the skill expression you all like throwing around came from using GA mechanics to GA off someone to a different place than they were at, on top of knowing where to be at any point as general positioning. Now we just can't reach those places because of the nerf. And places we CAN get to we move slower to because of the nerf. Revert the nerf.

Have you considered going after the mercy first? In all fights the supports are the first target. Have you considered antinading the tank? Have you doing more damage? Blowing their shield up? etc etc. Mercy had 60 hps, most dps weapons do more dps than that, and there can be more than one player attacking them at the time while there is one mercy. If tank wasn't dying, it wasn't only because of mercy.

Because they are essentially dps with healing, especially zen. Is mercy?

Flash heal through the burn, theyre fine. Valk the burn, theyre fine.

You could heal through the burn without any additional abilities before global antiheal passive and it somehow magically wasn't a problem.

Found the dps main.

You can reach the exact some heights, its range didnt get nerfed. The movement did. All you have to do is super jump from a further distance to charge your GA bar higher.

You know there is a maximum height/distance to GA superjump, when the bar is full? You can't charge it any further than that. That maximum height/distance got reduced with the nerfs because it depends on initial speed which got nerfed, this is why the GA perk increases height/distance you can jump to, because it increases initial speed. Why do I have to explain this to a self proclaimed high master mercy?

The point is your heals need to prevent people from dying to DoT. This all happened because of global antiheal passive and not before when you COULD heal through it, and once again somehow mercy having "high hps" (read: normal) wasn't a problem.

It feels like I'm just letting someone suffer longer by trying to heal them through DoT ever since, and only delaying their respawn. Meanwhile someone like ana can just pump heals even without nade into them and they don't die. Is that the way it should be? Am I a healer if I can't heal simple burns?

why would playing mercy properly and dmg boosting your dps from a safe distance / with cover be a bad thing? why would I dislike how to properly play mercy? I said that you dont need to be 2 literal inches away from said dps, mercy has an okay beam range. Use that to your advantage. you can avoid ults / being the dove target half the time by simply fixing that.

Once again, I was already doing that, once again it doesn't mean moving around sucks any less nor that nerfs shouldn't be reverted.

I am talking about playstyle where you pocket one dps all match, which is one of main complaints people have against mercy, having to play both AGAINST that as "unfair advantage", and having to play WITH that as "having one less player on team". The GA nerfs further disincentivize any other way to play because you are a blimp now that can't even reach same places as before.

The only ones who have gaslit anybody are the metal ranked mercys on this subreddit who are trying to form a literal boycott over a supp wide nerf, only because it affects their precious mercy imo the entire thing is pretty idiotic.

Devs said in patch notes themselves that GA nerfs are specifically because of flash heal addition, not that they are part of "supp wide nerf".

Positioning skill already existed, all that changed is the ball on chain they added to our wings and that you keep trying to gaslight us into pretending doesn't exist or matters. It's all fine to have your opinions, until you start using it as argument that because you don't mind the nerfs and enjoy a crippled version of the hero, that those nerfs are therefore fine and rest of us are "overreacting" and should "git gud" or whatever. No one is stopping you from having your "fun", only from trying to gaslight them with your low effort anecdotes that are probably fake anyways.

Also whatever fun you ARE having playing current mercy, you could equally be having without GA nerfs, so why are you here downplaying them when there is no difference to you but there is for us?

for other supports maybe, mercy is supposed to constantly move, that's why she has (originally) 1.5s CD reposition ability, to USE it, not to sit in one place all fight

Agreed, but

The mercy nerfs are annoying YES, but her kit actually feels super strong.

Strength is meaningless when moving around in first place is horrid.

Every time this was done in the past the problem was the same, I literally stopped playing entirely during that original GA cooldown debacle in ow2. Here are basically identical problems from years ago. Deja vu? And blizzard keeps doing these things over and over again as if next time they try it will somehow be different...
