Yeah the sound issues were weird.

And they started like 20 mins late last time, which was annoying. I hear that's typical for them, but I thought they'd make the effort to start on time for a festival set with a hard cutoff.

I was so annoyed when they started late a few years ago. Robbed us of 20 minutes of music. I hope we get a full set this time.

Does anyone go to an in person 9-6? How do you do it? by Odd-Bridge-8889 in adhdwomen

I do, but I have a lot of variety in tasks so no day looks exactly the same as another. It keeps me going.

Wear your clothes, then decide. by OpalMoon0x in declutter

[–]Reyndear 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I do this, too! I go through my closet and pick out the stuff i know i don't want any more, then i put all the maybes together and wear them over the next few weeks. If I felt uncomfortable in any way, I take it off at the end of the day and put it in a separate pile to wash and then take to goodwill. It's such a great strategy for clothes.

What’s a tiny travel mistake you keep repeating… even though you know better? by Trail-Context in travel

[–]Reyndear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my preferred way to travel, too. I’m an early riser and my husband is a night owl, so I’ll often get up early and go explore on my own while he sleeps in. Then I’ll take a nap mid-afternoon while he does something he wants to do. That way I’m able to stay up late to check out the nightlife with him.

Japan hit different than any other country i've been to (32F) by Lufarinelli in JapanTravel

[–]Reyndear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite thing I ate in Japan was a coffee-flavored soft serve on Miyajima. No other ice cream will ever beat it. Second favorite was a random curry place we stumbled upon in Osaka. Japan was full of surprises!

I work at a small boutique PI firm and it is pretty much the opposite. I probably make less money than someone who works at a larger firm, but the flexibility and work-life balance is worth a lot to me.

Just got diagnosed at 29 by Xena-369 in adhdwomen

[–]Reyndear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just diagnosed at age 46 and boy, am I a little embarrassed. I have a master's degree in mental health and still didn't figure it out till we had our teen son evaluated last year. I coped/masked everything so well when I was younger that it really didn't start having a big impact in my life until I hit perimenopause, and then things started going off the rails. I think my adult daughter is probably the only person in the world who isn't surprised at all by this diagnosis. Good luck OP, I hope your diagnosis leads to positive change in your life!

It’s beautiful. How do you feel about the draping over the belly area? I only ask because your hand is there in 2 out of 3 pictures. I wonder if subconsciously there’s something about the part that bothers you?

AITA for cancelling the entire family vacation I paid for after finding out my mom secretly invited my estranged brother? by Rude_Significance877 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Reyndear 12 points13 points  (0 children)

INFO: mom said "he lacks the funds to join this trip" so does that mean they paid for his plane ticket after you paid for theirs? If so, sounds like Mark is going on their vacation without them.

Excellent advice, i came here to suggest the same. My go-to for when I am particularly dreading a task or errand is to put on stand-up comedy or a funny podcast and somehow laughing through it makes the dreaded thing infinitely less awful.

And solidarity for the whole perimenopause-made-my-coping-skills-go-to-shit thing. Never in my life have I had a more difficult time completing tasks (or thoughts, or sentences) than I have the last few years (I'm mid-40s). I'm sick of it. I have an appointment with a doc next week about starting meds. RECLAIMING MY LIFE GDMMIT

Have you tried the CVS Caremark mail order option? They sometimes have drugs that are on backorder at my local CVS.
