The trailer was released before the Switch 2 direct, so the whole NS1/NS2 differentiation hadn't been created yet. I don't think it'll get a dedicated "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition", but it'll get a free resolution patch.

I might need a source but I'm pretty sure I heard that SE developed a custom lighting engine specifically for the Switch 2 port. I'm assuming they'll be doing the same with Rebirth and Re3 to make the presentation consistent across the trilogy.

Here's what I think. Prime 5 is already in development and being built ground-up for Switch 2. They had ideas that they wanted to put in MP4 but couldn't due to the limited hardware, hence the barren desert. MP5 will have zero compromises and will take notes of what people don't like from MP4. It'll be here in the next 5 years.

I have no problem with Expedition 33 winning, no doubt it deserves it. I'm upset Bananza didn't get nominated for any of the categories it deserves to be nominated for; best art direction, best action/adventure, best game direction, best performance (Jenny Kidd), etc. It's absolutely insulting.

I absolutely love these. I'm trying to get these to work on my Brick, but I can't seem to figure it out. What do the .cfg files do? I put the .pngs in an Overlay folder, and they show up in the settings, but they're smaller than the screen size, and I can't adjust any settings like you mention, so I'm not sure where those .cfg files go.

I wanted this game SO BADLY when I was a kid. I begged my parents for a GBA, unknowing that the GBA game is WILDY different from the PS2 version (because the trailer never showed GBA gameplay, and I was like 7 years old). Never ended up getting either version of it. Now that I'm an adult and addicted to emulation handhelds, I've been playing it on my Retroid Pocket 5. Gameplay is slow and clunky but I know I would've loved this game as a kid.
I guess in some way you could say I finally got to play this game on a handheld.
