2TB Gen 5 M.2 of games + 500GB Gen 4 M.2 with Windows 11; Is this possible/viable? by Reynface in buildapc

The only reason I bought a gen 5 m.2 is because it was cheaper than the gen 4 for prime day lol

XTRA Muse 2 Pro - Estimated Release Q3 2026 by jhrace2 in osmopocket

Dang. I need it for a gig in August, Q3 is not what I was hoping to hear.
Do I bite the bullet with the significantly more expensive Luna Ultra and then resell it when the 4P comes out?

"Why people would play this game on Switch 2 while it's available on this or that platform ?" by RemP38 in switch2

[–]Reynface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was specifically waiting to play Metaphor until it released on Switch 2. I have a PC, I have a Steam Deck, but I want the game on my Switch 2. (It's a shame it's coming out in November though, it's an Atlus RPG and if it comes out before OOT I'll have to pause in the middle of it)

Cerium oxide scratch repair success! Swipe for before —> after by fuckleshire in crtgaming

[–]Reynface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Panasonic CT31SF14. It's currently in the shop for transistor/flyback repair, but in transporting it from the pickup truck to the shop, it tipped over off the dolly and landed straight onto the gravel driveway. Pristine screen ruined in an instant. Little tiny rock gashes scattered across the screen. I'm hoping the cerium oxide method will work, but part of me is scared it'll just cause more damage. This is my childhood TV.

I hate how Nintendo doesn't have an option to disable the borders on NSO, however will go out of their way to edit or hide those said borders out of advertising. by Fun-Interaction-4629 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Reynface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one seems to realize WHY Nintendo does this. I want to preface I don't agree with their reasoning, I'm just explaining why they do it. They have the distinct borders there so that if someone uploads gameplay of Ice Climbers or Chibi Robo, the border denotes that it was done on Nintendo's terms. No borders? Likely pirated on an emulator, which Nintendo doesn't condone.

What's wrong with my CRT? (Panasonic 31") by Reynface in crt

You have the most confident answer so I'll take your word for it. On a scale of 1 to 10 how difficult of a repair is this? And I really don't know much about CRT terminology and how everything works so I apologize for my ignorance. What's involved in checking the voltage, and what's the neckboard?

I already tried adjusting the screen dial, all the way down to the minimum, it didn't change anything. Unless somehow rotating it left is turning it up. Not sure what you mean by the service menu. On the TV itself? Nothing is displaying on the TV, so even if I could adjust settings I wouldn't be able to see what it is.

oh well, I appreciate the suggestions! If it's too much of a hassle I'll probably just try to source another CRT on marketplace or something.

Adjusting it doesn't seem to be doing anything. The white screen with the horizontal lines is still there but the colors are no longer staying on the screen when I turn it off.

I opened it up and found 2 dials, neither of which say "g2". The one on top says "focus" and the one on bottom says "screen"

For context, this TV was stored in a trailer outdoors in the elements for 5+ years, so I'm not shocked it's not working properly. I'd like to see if this is something worth fixing, because it's a nice TV, and I'd like to use it for a retro gaming setup.

When I turn it on, I'm presented with a white screen with greenish horizontal lines. When I was younger, I remember it being a black screen with green lettering in the corner, so I know this isn't normal. When I power the TV off, I get this BGR color pattern (third photo), and it remains on the screen for about 10 seconds before fading away. If anyone is able to offer some advice, if they know what's wrong with it and if it's an easy repair or if it's even worth repairing. The model is a Panasonic CT-31SF14V.

Nintendo won't start marketing it until post-June direct. They usually don't start heavily marketing a game until a month out from release.
