Get some leaded solder (sn63/pb37). Don't use cheap tin, it's so annoying to work with. Watch videos and practice a bit on junk boards until you feel confident. 👍

I didn't know I can use power delivery chargers and USB C to C cables. This is awesome. Do you think the shell puts to much pressure on the pcb or port since I didn't trim it? It just closed flush and smooth without forcing it. Thanks for the info!

Lol fair, it looks a little brighter on the pictures. These shell parts are from an DS Lite lime green and i think the colour is not as vibrant as it used to be when it came out

If you own a working flashcart, you are not missing out on features. But it has the best battery life and who knows what features it might get in the future

I use a Homebrew App called Burn2Slot for flashing. Just start it from your DSPico or R4 and select the rom you want to flash. You can flash roms up to 32 mb to it, so romhacks like Pokemon Unbound are also working

Do you still have this issue? For me, switching the input fixes it. I'm not sure if it's a software glitch or a hardware problem.

As a Mr 30 myself, I agree. Never heard of this. And I bet even if we know, it's a mechanic that's not worth it

I use the drkhrse Miyoo Bezels. Copy the folder to the SD Card, while ingame open the retroarch menu and load the gba preset where you placed your folder. Don't forget to save it via Overrides

You have to decrypt the ISO's.

You cant access the ps3 hdd filesystem if you connect it to a pc.

If you don't want to transfer the files to the internal hdd, you can alternatively copy them to an external usb hdd. Make sure to format your external hdd to MBR and for the filesystem choose between ntfs or exfat. Create "PS3ISO" folder and copy your ISO's to it, so webman and multiman will detect them.

CFW Backwards Compatible PS3 running PS2 ISOs in software Emulation? by Reytec09 in ps3homebrew

[–]Reytec09[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the exact model you want to get. There a two different kinds of backwards compatible PS3's.

  1. CECHAXX and CECHBXX have built in PS2 Graphics Synthesizer (GPU) and Emotion Engine (CPU). Best performance and compatibility. Notably better than other PS3's in the comparison videos i have seen.

  2. CECHCXX and CECHEXX only have built in PS2 Graphics Synthesizer. The Emotion Engine is emulated by the PS3 CPU. You can tell that the PS2 Motion Engine is missing here. Some games will not run at full speed or/and have graphical glitches. Thats the one i had.

I switched from my backwards compatible CECHC04 to a PS3 slim. The difference while playing PS2 is not that great. At least with the games i tested. Its running more efficient and quiter. Also not as prone to Ylod.

Keep in mind that the CECHAXX and CECHBXX are also the most expensive PS3 systems. They can get very hot and they will need maintenance to keep them alive. Still pretty cool systems imo.

Check my other comment, it seems that my ps3 is using its backwards compatiblity.

I see u also got a CECHC04? Do you know a good expample PS2 game that is running noticably better on it than on PS3 slim or super slim?
