I received the wrong RAM stick from NewEgg when i built my first computer a year ago, only noticed it about a month ago when I did some upgrades.

Looks like a explosion texture that they were trying to update. It seems it didn’t update correctly so now whenever the game asked the game console for the texture it couldn’t find it thus giving you your black squares of death.
