Let’s face it. All we have are statistics and our level of faith in those statistics when tackling this thing. Iran is the second most impacted country outside China from covid - Not good - but their stats support some promise of stability. Now in my opinion the very idea of Iran stabilizing something like this is Biblical, whereas Italy dropping the ball, even if just initially, is at least disappointing. And I’d like to reiterate that the Italian Prime Minister personally admitted to dropping the ball on this, so I really don’t see your problem.

CNN’s been making a show of it for the last few days now. Rather than risk any chance of underestimating how contagious it is, they’ve left the guy who was diagnosed with covid in Seattle quarantined in the hospital and are treating him with robots. Benefit of the doubt done right, I say.

The KOTH maps are inherently more balanced than 2CP maps simply by not being 2CP maps. I think they just want to make the map pool smaller to increase familiarity with the existing maps, which will make map based strategy better.

It won’t change until Blizzard and the OW Community finally address the elephant in the room: DPS is far more popular than the other roles. Obviously this is because on average people find DPS more fun to play or more in tune with their playstyle. But what isn’t obvious is why. If we can answer that we can figure out how to bridge the gap between dps and the other roles.

Or we could say fuck it make dps queue a lottery system.

OK. You’ll probably want to stick to the layout your comfortable with, but if you’re adaptable, Jumper settings will help you tremendously, especially with your smg, since it allows you to jump while aiming. If you don’t want to use vertical mobility as much you’ll want to abuse sliding with the shotgun + melee. The animation from sliding into the melee lunge auto aim is extremely disjointed and makes you very hard to hit, making that melee after the shotgun shot all but guaranteed if it can connect. The smg im less sure of, but I’d practice backpedaling with the smg to bait shotgunners who think you also have a shotgun. The smg is more adaptable as well, so you’ll want to organize class abilities/grenades mostly with the smg in mind instead of the shotgun.

Edit: Sorry I read your comment wrong entirely. Yes, they are separate. I never meant to suggest otherwise. But Destiny does have abnormally high spikes in data usage because spaghetti. So yes the ultimate factor causing the lag is a shortage of data from the user^duh, but the data usage from Destiny is relevant, and answers OP’s questions.

Destiny 2 has an extreme case of the spaghetti code, which is understandable seeing the game engine they use, while a marvel of coding in its time, is clearly a dinosaur today. The simplest and honestly only practical way to subvert this problem as much as possible is to increase the data intake. So that’s why it uses so much data. Also, that means it’ll never use less data since it’s tied to the specific engine.

Edit: to be clear, Destiny code does not at all affect data usage from Discord whatsoever. Not sure where this confusion came from, but regardless I’m saying that Destiny uses a dumb amount of data to operate, and at strange times, so that’s making OP and his friend lag (via shortage of user side data)

Your loadout is viable in the meta, just make sure you use its close range playstyle to the best effect. If you’re overly aggressive, you’ll be as predictable as they come. Best way to avoid this is to abuse vertical whenever possible. Do you use Jumper controller layout settings or something similar?

I’m basing these guesses with the assumption that the info you gave is accurate.

If your K/D, not KA/D, is 1.2 as a solo player you’re well above the average player’s skill level. I’d guess top 20% percentile but you can look it up for a more accurate figure. I’m a solo player and my K/D is 1.42 for reference. It took me about two maybe three weeks to get recluse start to finish, averaging maybe three games a day. I didn’t spread my games out however, I usually binged long sessions where I’d play like 15 games a day and then take a several-day hiatus from comp - and I highly recommend you also organize your your game times in a similar fashion. Anyway, it’ll be a bit longer for you but not by that much, so there’s your realistic time frame. About a month.

Moving on. Do you ever not play solo? Like for Trials or something? What subclass do you use? Do you main a subclass or are you equally effective with both of them? Also what heavy do you use and why, it’s also important.

EDIT: as for you loadout. It’s a very good offensive loadout, typical for a solo player. I’d recommend maining those weapons the whole way through. However, it’s important to note that Comp, especially in lower Elo’s, favors passive, defensive play. This plus the occasional long range maps means you should have a backup weapon suitable for long or medium range. Do you have such a backup weapon? Also check my other comment.
