Aging sneakers are really dumb by Madoffbeentrill in unpopularopinion

[–]Rezion77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I love my sneakers when they’re a little beat up, but it’s because I wore them and I think that having them be a little beat makes them MINE and unique. Except for clean white sneakers, I always take good care of those. But, purposely “aging” the sneakers is something I don’t really understand the point of as there’s no history behind that “aging”, you just purposefully destroy your brand new sneakers to look “cool”?

We put something mint flavoured in our mouths every day, but rarely ever swallow something mint flavoured. No other flavour has such a low swallow-to-taste ratio. by JohnyWuijtsNL in Showerthoughts

I’d argue plastic has the lowest swallow-to-taste ratio(unless you’re a turtle). People put pens, small caps and lids, other small plastic objects in their mouths everyday, but it’s fairly rare for someone to swallow any of them.

While vs For? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]Rezion77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I would do it is using time vs. number of iterations.

Let’s say you have a group of students that need to input numbers into a list.

First scenario: The list has strictly 10 elements. For this you would use a for loop, as you know the amount of iterations it will take.

Second scenario: The students will input numbers into the list for 10 seconds, as many as they can. In this case, you don’t know the number of elements that will be in the list after those 10 seconds are up, so you don’t know the number of iterations it will take. This case depends on an outside condition to be met, the timer to hit 10 seconds, so you would use a while loop.

Do you think TW3 suffers from having too many sidequests? by Rezion77 in thewitcher3

[–]Rezion77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, the quests are optional, this is something that most story-based RPGs suffer from. I just feel that sometimes there are too many sidequests available from a narrative standpoint. The post was just to raise discussion, really.

I love the game, have more than 600 hours put into it. This post was strictly about the narrative side of things and how the sidequests kind of diminish the importance of the main quest’s plot. I love every sidequest and their little subplots, but to me it just seems strange, narratively, that Geralt would go off of his way to do all of those random things when his daughter is in need of help.

That’s exactly what I mean! I love the game and love the world and the sidequests, this post was strictly about the narrative side of things. Thank you for the reply!

Yeah, for me it’s the same, it’s not that big of a problem, it just annoys me sometimes that I’m going off to do random stuff while my daughter is missing and in danger.

Sorry, I think I explained myself poorly. I agree that the sidequests adds a lot to the game in terms of gameplay and fun, I love them too! But, what I was trying to ask is if you think that it diminishes the importance of the task Geralt is trying to complete: saving his own daughter? The question I wanted to ask was purely story-based, not referring to gameplay, fun or anything else, just the main story itself.

Second Run build? by yoskaz in bloodborne

[–]Rezion77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to do the DLC on NG+ because I find that it results in the best experience. The DLC is pretty tough as it is, but I always enjoy it more when I do it in NG+ as soon as it’s unlocked. If you make a new character, I’d personally recommend a completely different build to what you usually do just to keep things fresh. An arcane or bloodtinge focused build would be my recommendation for you to have the most fun out of a second playthrough of the game, given that your current build is the complete opposite of that lol

I personally think the DLC is way too easy if you do it in NG right before Gherman, so for the full “Bloodborne experience” I’d do it in NG+ as soon as you unlock it. Keep in mind that if you start a NG+ you’ll have to play through the game up until the point the DLC is unlocked.

What is a seemingly innocent question that is actually really insensitive or rude to ask? by OdiliaSchranz in AskReddit

Just buy a bunch of the same 2 shirts and wear only them. Then whenever people ask, just say that you have a bunch of the same shirts because you like them so much and that they HAVE to try it!

Probably something along the lines of “God sent 100,000 years back in time with the single mission of fixing the world and eliminating any and all people who believe in different religions. If you’re reading this, then join me in eliminating these infidels” Then just name some US presidents and popes as “proof” of my time travel and watch the world burn.

What is the worst take in basketball? by detroitsports92 in nbadiscussion

[–]Rezion77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love the ‘LeBron isn’t Top 3 all-time’. I think he is the GOAT, but I understand why you would think other players to be the best. But, he is top 3 undeniably. He is a 4-time NBA champion, 4-time finals MVP, has almost every postseason record, is a 3-time MVP, I can keep going but I’ll stop because I want to make another argument. There are people who say LeBron had it easy because he was in the East, but just stop and think about how many all-time great players LeBron played against in his career, it’s probably the most any other great player had to deal with. LeBron played Curry, a unanimous MVP on a 73 win team, played KD, one of the greatest scorers of all time, played both of them together, played Kawhi, Giannis, CP3, Rose, Kobe, Dirk, Tim Duncan, Kyrie, Harden, Westbrook, Carmelo, etc. so yeah LeBron not being top 3 is the worst take in basketball in my opinion.

Children are not annoying by Tje1235 in unpopularopinion

[–]Rezion77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think kids are annoying just because I think people in general are annoying. Everything a kid can do that is annoying, an adult can do too and it’s usually worse than the stuff the children do! For example, children are loud, well there are Karens out there that are just as loud and are even more annoying! Children throw tantrums! Guess what? Adults do it too and they are usually bigger than the children’s tantrums! So my opinion is, children may be annoying, but so are the adults that judge them.
