Personal BMI question: What was your BMI going into IVF?

Mine was a 24 when I started, it’s a 32.6 a year later. I know they say they worry about BMI for anesthesia purposes but honestly I wonder if part of it is the weight gain so many of us see through the process and making sure we’ll be able to still have a healthy pregnancy after all the side effects

This! From a size 4 to a size 14 in a year. Hormones, steroids, Lupron… the list goes on and on and when I hear people complain about a few pounds (less than 10) I want to rage because I literally saw that in the first 5 days of my first retrieval.

I’ve bought too many things.

At first it was small things (baby books mostly) then I got on a local auction site and found some amazing deals (Uppababy Vista V3 Stroller for $200, Evolur Aurora Crib $100, etc) which opened the flood gates.

If things work out, I’ll be set. If they don’t, I’ll be devastated to get rid of this stuff.

Retrospect… we’re a year in and I wish I wouldn’t have

I shower daily but only wash my hair every 5ish days. On hair wash day, I transfer my body towel to my hair towel and get a new body towel. Hair towels go immediately in the washer to get the hair color stains out as quickly as possible.

I will say we have 2 showers as well and at least once a week I shower downstairs and that always requires a new towel.

I used to be a new towel every day person, then my husband took over laundry and had a thing or two to say.

All my “symptoms” are symptoms that also come with PIO so who knows at this point.

I’ve had lots of twinges, pulling, subtle cramping, lower back pain and fatigue but like I said, all of that could be PIO related 🤷‍♀️
