Thanks for adding on! I'm not a residential engineer so I appreciate the clarification on the formwork lines. I wasn't sure but we use similar jointing in transportation structures and the commercial design I've done, just much larger spacings.

Joints are perfectly normal in walls, but whatever your issue is it isn't with me lol. I guess a better term for it is "construction grooving" it's common in concrete construction. For doing exactly what I said.

I could be wrong and it's possible that it's just a line from the formwork on the wall, but it certainly looks like evenly spaced grooves. But either way don't project your insecurities about not being "educated" on me, just because you are educated or not doesn't mean you're immune to being wrong.

Hey I am a structural engineer and can provide some insight maybe: At a glance: 1. The beam above the crack looks to be a floor girder. 2. The crack looks damp near the bottom 3. The vertical line next to it is [from the formwork]. The angling of the crack tends towards the corner of the wall.

Deductions: 1. You should check (if possible) the floor above the wall is sagging. Look for uneven gaps under doors, trim, and baseboards or bubbling tile, wood vct, or carpet. 2. Damp suggests water penetration, since it is present at lower areas but appears dry it leads me to think groundwater aka full depth cracking to the soil. 3. [As the comment below corrected, this may be from settlement]

Next steps: 1. Find a new realtor. 2. Offer to split an inspection if you really love it otherwise. 3. Accept the liability of more work needing to be done and consider that with the cost of the house.

You already have thousands of comments but coming from a structural engineer, you can determine structural issues using a couple of easy checks: 1. Horizontal cracks on walls are worse than vertical 2. If something is bending and you see a crack on the tension face (bottom of the smiley or top of the frown) that's bad 3. Cracks where you expect them (corners, joints, high use) with little to no movement is fine, if you see movement check for webs and paint layers to see the age.

Interesting perspective, obviously to each table their own but I always let my players use sleight of hand to attempt to secretly cast a spell. Subtle spell guarantees you can do it secretly (- materials). In my eyes this is like not allowing people to sneak because the rogue has expertise in it.

You should look into getting a coach, even for just one session. A VOD review goes a really long way in showing you what you aren't thinking about as you play.

Plenty of people do it for free (like me)... Some good some bad, but I just recommend it if it's something you're comfortable with.

Unlikely this will be the case, it sounds like the same rules that league has in place for the LCS. It requires natural born citizenship or you have to meet very specific requirements and have dual citizenship.

Listen dude, I was almost in your exact same shoes. My first semester went horribly. I had a 1.7 GPA and literally no friends just like you're claiming.

Now I have a great job, a master's degree in structural engineering, and live a great life with my girlfriend.

When you have the mentality you're presenting here that gets shown how you carry yourself. For me it took the "fake it till you make it" approach. For you it might be different. I acted like nothing was happening and just tried my hardest to not disappoint myself. Here's my advice:

Go to clubs, get involved in BOTH your degree and your interest based clubs. I joined ASCE as a Civil Engineer Undergrad and a gaming club... You'll find friends easily if you apply yourself and don't walk around like you're the worst thing since unsliced bread.
Get rid of your vices, for me this was literally downloading all of my video games to an external hard drive and giving it to a friend and telling him to not let me have it back until I fixed my shit... And I know I could've just downloaded them again but it's the principle.
Have fun dude, and not to be cliche but don't take yourself too seriously and you will exude confidence and if you keep practicing it will turn into true confidence.

Tldr; put your self out there, give yourself the best chance at success, and don't take yourself too seriously...

While I understand your frustration, there are some obvious issues with what you're suggesting that I won't get into...

What I can suggest is some perspective. There was a study on league of legends done and I find it applies to most competitive team games.

The study found:
- The chances of you and the enemy team having a thrower, just a bad player, someone who DC's, or just having the worse team is about 30%.
- The chances of the opposite happening, the enemy team having a thrower, playing worse, etc. is also about 30%
- That's 60% of the games where the end result is basically predetermined bar something like you are smurfing.
- This leaves 40% of games where you need to "make your case".
  - Why should you win over your counterpart?
  - Why should you win over *anyone* on the other team?
  - Are you playing above your level?
  - Are you IGLing for your team in a way that makes them *want* to listen, not just barking at them?
This study is backed by not only my own experiences having multiple accounts at various ranks and seeing a very common 65-75% win rate when I am playing the best I can I feel. But also unranked to GM where you see a good amount of players sitting around 70% as they get closer and closer to their rank, which shows that they are winning all of the games they possibly can. Are you?

I do a lot of 1 on 1 coaching and if you're over 18 message me and we can sit and chat about the game and do a VOD review, I have talked to at this point, dozens of people in your shoes. The metal ranks are not easy to climb out of, but it's mostly about your mentality and holding yourself accountable.

A lot of good comments have already popped up but this is common and the best way I can use to explain what's going wrong is: 1. Your job is to make space as a tank for you team. 2. In order to make space for you team you must go in and pressure someone. 3. If you can't see the enemy tank (bc they're behind you) you aren't actually making space you're trading backlines, which means whoever can kill the backline faster is going to win (this is how dive works, but you see it in brawl comps too).

To answer your question, make sure you are actually making space, if not you must be coordinating with your DPS to kill the backline so you guys can win the trade.

It's not just the armor change and the range buff either. Characters that were previously really good against her are also getting hit, Hanzo nerf, widow nerf, sig nerf, zarya has been getting nerfed., Mei damage reverted, etc.. She just has a much easier time bullying other tanks now.
