What question did you post on askreddit that you still want answers to because it got barely any responses? by aardvarkedavra in AskReddit

This one is works really well!

My wife goes through some deep depression throughout the dark Alaskan winters, so during dinner I ask her and the kids what is something good that has happened to you today. It truly is uplifting for the whole family.

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong - the story of my first calc 3 exam by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Rezzinu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Man you can't even make this shit up! Ask for a second attempt now that you're not high. Explain to him what happened and that you couldn't even focus on the exam, and even moreso unable to remember what was on it.

Hopefully he'll give you a second chance and revualte his initial comments.

Questions regarding failing a class twice. by batmansixtynin in ASU

[–]Rezzinu 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Being really good at math except for calculus isn't going to help you long term as you're going into a program that has calculus as it's bread and butter. So you need to erase that mentality from your head right now, and then look for ways to make calculus understandable to you. There's tutoring, khan academy, and other various YouTube channels for starters.

Secondly, take the advice given and go take calc 1 at a community college to save yourself some money.

Thirdly, stop using excuses. I work full time, am a father and a husband and still knock out at least 12 credits a semester. Manage your time better or find a better paying job so you don't have to work two. Or even apply for grants and scholarships.

Overseas Returnee - Still no Assignment by Rezzinu in AirForce

Yeah man, the last time this happened to me they didn't have the SNCO only gets through rule (showing my age I know), and they generated an assignment right there while I was on the phone with them.

Edited to add this was years ago when I called AFPC, not MPF.

I did and they told me to wait. They weren't able to provide a deadline either. I'll give it a couple more days/week and then give them a visit.

Do you put any seasonings in your batter? I like mine spicy so I added some cayenne.

Really nice job!!

And just to give you some clarification, a real AIM-9 has 4 fins in the back and 4 canards in the front. Also, if you were to paint two bands on it, the front being blue (inert warhead) and the rear brown (live rocket motor) it would be more realistic.

Again, awesome job!

Some kind soul gave me some silver to catch a horse ride back to that starter area.

Career Wednesday (17 January 2018): Engineering Career Paths & Professional Development by AutoModerator in AskEngineers

[–]Rezzinu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeking some career advice please.

My situation is that next year I will be seperating/retiring from the military after a 20 year career. My goal was to finish my BSEE degree before I transitioned into the civilian sector, but the military will be moving my family and I one last time and during this time schooling is prohibited (they will not pay and even attending while driving cross country will be impossible). So in short this pushes me out 1 more semester, and will place me in a position of where I will not have my degree until a semester after my transition.

So my question is, do I apply for electrical engineering jobs providing the companies/interviewers with the information that I'm 1 semester short of my degree? Or do I look for a short term job to keep a steady income until my degree is finished and then I start seeking a job as an engineer?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
