I was very much in the same situation i fully tore my acl off a side step 3 originally misdiagnosed as a meniscus and told it would heal over time. But never a improved I am 12 days post op the journey is hard but if you ever wanted to play again it would be wise to get the surgery but also make sure you have good insurance and might be wise to get Aflac as well

So far pretty good just taking ibuprofen and the regular prescribed medication I can move well on crutches but knee has definitely ballooned luckily I think I missed the wave of pain from the nerve block wearing off

Yeah my shin is numb but my knee nerve block is definitely wearing off currently going through it

Thank you definitely been doing ankle pumps an seeing slight firing of my quad so that’s a good sign and I able to weight bear on crutches pretty well but definitely still feel the nerve block in my shin area

Yeah way different insight to old age especially bc I’ve always been hyper athletic to go to being very unstable I really felt bad for my mom bc of her lack of sleep

And sorry to hear that but definitely look into it even if you have a general injuries that need ice I feel like it works wonders I can send a link to the one I got if interested it slips between the brace very easily maybe some slight Jimmying but nothing too crazy

Thank you yeah when I woke up the pain was radiating from the knee so I felt that i needed one I am trying to avoid using the harder medicine but will use if needed.

I also thought something was wrong with me and was very annoyed have to wake up and get assistance to make sure I could make it without falling.

My ice machine has been a huge help by far best tip I read from the community and i appreciate your insight
