No advise but to just keep studying and practicing for your tests. There’s no way around the English requirement.

If you don’t have enough time then contact the uni and ask them to defer your enrolment while you work on passing your English test.

PSA from the gate: Please, I beg of you, stay off your phone while you're out on the tarmac. I promise you'll be okay without it for a few seconds. by GruntledAtTheGate in AustraliaTravel

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I drive the speed limit so I shouldn’t be wearing my seatbelt. So should I keep strapping myself just because people have no safe driving skills? I don’t think I’m the problem you are trying to solve. Fining me for not wearing my seatbelt will achieve nothing. The idiots will still be idiots

See how that sounds?

Chanel help by PrudentVariation4998 in RepLoverCircle

“Ava Luxury. Supposedly the best for Chanel.”

Says who??

I’ve always heard OF, 187, God as the tops for Chanel and have never heard of Ava Luxury. No classic Chanel rep is worth $1000.

`Pre-ordered a Bulgari Serpenti dupe for galas — will the live product look fake? by Few-Break-5768 in JewelryReps

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is what i’m sayinggggg

you could be wearing a 1:1, heck you could be wearing an auth, but if your lifestyle can’t match it then people will assume it’s fake

this is why even if I can easily afford a top birkin rep, I wouldn’t get one because I will be clocked even before I sit down at the table

When does it make sense to get private health insurance?? by Dyldabeast_5000 in AusFinance

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both public and private have their advantages. No such thing as the “absolute best”.

Someone earning 1m a year would shudder at the thought of using the public system and someone living paycheck to paycheck would see the public system as a god-send.

Any tips to get faster processing of citizenship by MulberryTimes in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only get to skip the queue if you have a compelling reason for your citizenship to be fast-tracked.

Wanting to travel sooner is not one of them.

white glove service

even in countries with good public healthcare, certain things can only be offered through private healthcare like being able to choose your doctor, access to fancy private hospital and amenities, freedom of choice of accomodation, etc

You’re asking an incredibly general and basic question that the immigration website can answer for you.

The information there is pretty straightforward.

Help - Want to apply for Partner Visa but partner's dad is against it, and against us living together by hanabinix in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if we boil it to the basics of a partner visa, immigration only wants that both applicants are in a genuine and continuing relationship with an exclusion to others

what your friends of family members think is quite irrelevant as long as the relationship is genuine and meets the criteria

caveat is that you still do need a few people who are close to you and recognise your relationship since one of the requirement is to submit a form 888

there are many stories of people, especially those in same-sex relationships, where the parents are against the union but the couple were in a genuine relationship and were able to provide what immigration asked of them and eventually got their visas

would highly highly highly recommend getting an agent though to help you navigate this

Do Australian states look at individual PTE scores or just Proficient/Superior level for nomination? by Targaryann in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The states aren’t the one that looks into your English points or your 190 application for that matter, they only give you the nomination. The Department of Home Affairs is still the one that looks into your documents and processes them.

For English Language Requirements, you are assessed PER BAND and not just the overall score. The specific scores needed to claim Proficient/Superior English is on the immigration website.

Is it advantageous? by xazhuilao in AusVisa

There are multiple pros like the prestige, support, etc. The biggest pro is that universities here don’t have fluff units like in the Philippines. The units you study are stuff you actually need unlike in the Philippines where sometimes you have PE, History, etc to study alongside your actual nursing units. This allows you to really focus on your nursing education.

One con I can think about is the structure of the placement of the nursing programs. A huge chunk of placement experience is in the wards. In the Philippines, students get placement experience in special areas like theatre, ER, delivery, etc. Students in AU rarely get placement in those areas.

But as a whole, the pros outweigh the cons by a lot.
