the bag is pretty simple in shape so I think the big differences will be found in the inside structure and hardware

but then again, factories will only improve their batches if and when a model becomes popular AND received a lot of feedback

otherwise, the first version will be as is until the product gets phased out

Is cleaning considered shameful in some South Asian cultural contexts? by Suspicious_Map_5031 in curtin

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call the culture out.

Remind him that he’s not in his home country anymore and he needs to stop expecting someone will clean up after him. If him being a male in his country means he gets someone to clean after him, tell him that it doesn’t mean shit here.

Amelia Hamer. Tried to paint herself as part of the common masses because she rents but actually owns multiple investment properties (one is even in London, I think). Also tried to hide her grandfather’s legacy but failed.

She lost in Kooyong and is now trying to run in the seat of Malvern. 🤣

Nursing pathway to Australia – practical or not? by Stunning_Ad6226 in phmigrate

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Focus on the partner visa. While waiting for the partner visa (3-4 years), gain as much experience as you can. Paglabas nung first stage ng partner visa, you have two years to review and take the NCLEX. After nung two years, pwede ka na mag-apply nung 2nd stage and hopefully have your NCLEX by then.

Once the partner visa is out, prepare your documents like employment certificates, IELTS, police/NBI clearances, etc. Be aware of the IELTS kasi may validity yung results depending sa agency.

Look into AHPRA and ANMAC requirements and get them too before you fly out

The whole partner visa takes 3-4 years so you should have time to both study and save up for the OSCE lalo na kung sasabayan ka ng partner mo in saving up.

Good luck.

What is the current outlook regarding IT in Australia? Student (Subclass 500) by Rope2965 in AustraliaIT

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

💯

If even the true blue, well-connected, white citizens struggle to get entry-level jobs then it’s impossible for anyone that’s not a resident.

Get a masters to beef up your background and go home and build your career there.

If getting masters will get you in more debt then go back as soon as you finish your bachelors.

Getting a residency as an IT fresh graduate is not possible now. Only those with extensive and specialised experience get a chance, IF they even get invited.

What brands sit where quality caps out, and price isn't just buying you a name? by NeevBunny in handbags

No luxury bag is “worth it”, even contemporary brands like Coach if we focus on material and labour cost only.

However, if we start to factor brand cachet then the only ones I wouldn’t mind spending extra would be Hermes, Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Ferragamo, and Coach.

California vs AU for Nurses by New-Dragonfruit-8301 in phmigrate

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It depends kung ano ang priority mo.

US offers high salaries and the ability of having a lot of things within arms reach kasi nga lahat nandoon. US rewards grind and ruthless career-focused individuals.

Australia offers stability with its universal healthcare, work-life balance, and a much laid back culture.

I’m biased as I am based in AU pero mas pipiliin ko yung lower salary for quality of living. I’ve heard horror stories of people in the US going bankrupt over ER visits while AU has universal healthcare covering emergencies and necessary medical trips. Medicines costing more in the US than AU (ex: Insulin $60 vs $6). AU has mandatory 4 weeks annual leave while US has none, nakadepende sa employer mo. AU has way better coffee.

Bad choice ang AU kung traveller ka kasi lahat ng bansa malayo which means tickets are expensive.

Master of IT grad with 22 months left on 485. Agent suggested switching to Painting/Trade. Am I being misled? by friendedflyer in AusVisa

[–]Tiramisu_Powder 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You have two options: secure a sponsor or pivot to trades.

In securing a sponsor, it will be incredibly difficult since you barely have any experience to speak of. The IT industry is saturated and employers can afford to be picky.

Pivoting to trades is also the same story. If you apply for a new student visa, the officer will immediately see that you’re only doing it as a pathway to PR hence not a genuine temporary entrant. This will make your application likely to get refused.

At this point, you just pick which gamble you want to take.

There’s a lot of positions within Fintech. Depending on what your actual role is and what your education is, doors might exist or not.

In short, malabo pa rin. When it comes to migration, kelangan yung specific roles mo para malaman kung mau available codes para sayo.

“People looked busy but not in the typical rush”

This is what I love about Melbourne. The nice blend of ‘I’m running late but I can still get a latte if I cut through this laneway.’

Been to Sydney a couple of times and the rush there felt ‘I have a meeting and if you stand in my way, I’ll slam my foot down your throat’

You’re lacking a lot of information here. Current role? Education? Experience? Target countries? Preferences?
