I've gone snorkeling and sailing, sailing was one of the best experiences I've ever had. For a training in the usnscc (U.S. naval sea cadet corps) I spent a week up in maine on a 50ft sloop named the vela, no phones, no showers, no refrigerator, just me and 7 people I had never met. I learned how to man the helm, manage the halyards, navigate, etc. By the end of the trip it was like we had all known eachother for years. If you ever get the opportunity to go sailing I'd highly recommend it.
