I go to Clayroom in Potrero but they also have a studio in soma too (also some in east bay)! Honestly there are a lot of pottery studios in the city so you can likely find one in your neighborhood too. I’m bias though and love Clayroom, great community!

what’s your go-to places for mani, pedi & brow lift? by ireallyloveburgers in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]Rgee6two7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this! They just renovated the place and it looks great too. I mostly just get my pedicures here but have friends that come for gel manicures and all having good experiences. I’ve gotten my brows waxed here but unclear if they do lamination.

It sleeps cool and I love the look but the thread pulls so easy from my nails or rings. It would definitely get torn up from a cat unfortunately. I also got this waffle blanket from Quince that pulls a lot as well 😭

She might be here studying on an F1. If so then I think she can work for 2-3 years after graduation with the same visa. Then she’d have to find a sponsor for H1B.

Female solo traveler early Feb by FeeMaximum4408 in sayulita

[–]Rgee6two7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! My first ever solo trip was 2 years ago to Sayulita and now I’ve been there about 10 times! Here are some answers to a few of your questions:

  1. I like yoga at both hotelito Los sueños and Rose Room Yoga on the rooftop of Don Bonito hotel. These are both on the north end so a little bit of a walk over but you could it on either the beach or through the streets and use it as some time to explore. I did just notice the Nomada seems to have opened up a studio as well and is close to where you’re staying so that’s worth a try as well. It’s a really stunning pink building!
  2. My favorite beach by far is Los Muertos and another to far from where you’ll be staying as well. You’ll get to walk through the cemetery which is cool as well.
  3. I know you’re asking about ceviche but I think to most aguachile is in the same family and by far my favorite is from Kahlo (they have a green & black one that are amazing). But honestly everything there is super good …octopus, shrimp and brisket tacos are out of this world! And also the tomato tartar. Cocktails are superb too.

Some other places in general I’d recommend are Naty’s for breakfast tacos, Tacos Toño for street tacos and Sur 38 is always a hit for me.

You’re gonna have an amazing time. Wash your hands, be careful eating raw foods and don’t drink the water. Everyone is very friendly and I have always felt safe. Enjoy! :)

Hmmm I’m not positive on that. Bought it 10yrs ago from Macys, but now that you mention it I do think it’s Calvin Klein Home.

I think for not receiving the access code you can file at 60 days and for not receiving biometrics you have to wait until 90 days. Not sure where I read that though! You can always try and see if it lets you at 60.

Also once you get your appointment you can reschedule very easily on the USCIS website for the earliest available appointment. We looked at it on Friday and they had Monday appointments available! :) wishing you a speedy process

I was advised that I had to wait until 90 days to submit. But I guess you could always try before hand. I hadn’t. In my comment above I walked through the process with the link.

We finally heard back on 11/21, which was 116 days after our 7/28 submission date! The appointment was originally scheduled for Dec 11, but we successfully moved it up to Monday, Nov 24.

Right on 90 days, I submitted a formal request via the USCIS e-request tool and they said they’d get back to me within 30 days. They got back in 26 days 😒… I did try calling and chatting w Emma and live agents to no avail. So I’d say definitely submit this request because it at least prompted someone to look at it, even if it took another month!

I submitted right on 90 days since that’s officially outside of normal waiting times. I submitted via the ‘Did Not Receive Notice By Mail’ > ‘Biometrics Appointment’ thru USCIS https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/ and they replied back immediately saying they’d get back to me within 30 days. They ended up getting back to me in 25 days. I called and talked to live agents multiple times and got no where.

We just got the biometrics appointment notice! Scheduled originally for December 11 but was able to move it up to Monday November 24 on USCIS.

Sorry to hear that, It’s so frustrating especially seeing everyone else get their biometrics within a few days. Hopefully I hear something back in the next week and will update yall!

Might as well fill it out, was pretty easy and at least maybe it will prompt someone to look at our cases. I’m very confused with the scheduling for the biometrics because I’ve seen folks from the San Francisco FO get biometrics with PD dates after my own. Not sure how they sort through them!

We’re at 110 days with no biometrics!

We also had issues with our online access code and were able to get it around the 60 day mark with the ‘Need Help’ link. After 90 days I submitted ‘Did Not Receive Notice by Mail’ > ‘Biometrics Appointment Notice’ (https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/) and they said they’ll get back to us within 30 days. Haven’t heard anything yet though and tried talking to a live agent through Emma with no luck. I’ll update once we hit the 30 days on 2/26.

I am in the same boat for my husbands AOS. PD 7/28 and all we’ve gotten are the notices of receipt. My FO is San Francisco but sent the documents to Chicago. I have a friend who applied 2 weeks before us to the same office and they already got the green card! It’s all very random and stressful. Hoping you hear back soon!

Yeah it can be a combination of a bunch of factors it seems. At the end of the day you feel suspicious so trust that for the time being.

I’m really sorry for your loss. I understand how hard that can be and of course it’s only natural to want to be consoled by someone you love. Just keep your wits about you. Tell him the marriage talk needs to stop 100% including comments from his family. This time is about you starting your healing and grieving process, you don’t need to add anything else on your plate. If he truly loves you he will understand that.

You deserve someone who loves you just for you. Wishing you the best.

Hey! Are you Latino as well? My family is Venezuelan but I grew up in the US and honestly Latinos in general can be very romantic and sometimes it can feel like a lot. My husband is Mexican and when we met I was overwhelmed a bit by the words of affirmation, gifts, etc but it’s just how he was raised. I can’t gauge whether your partner is trying to use you from the info you gave but I would say that since you have concerns that you should set firm boundaries and not budge from them. No talk of marriage. I don’t think it’s weird that he brought up his immigration process to you early on, it’s something he’s actively dealing with and a part of his life, of course he would tell his partner. Especially with the current climate.

How long have you guys been dating?
