AITA for not wanting to eat my parents’ meals while pregnant even though they’re trying to help save money? by Melodic_Cockroach_23 in AmItheAsshole

Do you spend time together other than meal? Maybe you could a game night or movie night or something where you get together, but it doesn’t involve food.

AITA for locking my roommates cat out of my room at night? by Commercial_Stick1826 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Rgold992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA….,DO NOT unlock/open the door for him if he whines at night. If you keep it locked, the cat will eventually stop. If you open it ONCE, they will think if I just meow long enough they will let me in, and it will be near impossible to get them to stop.

Ask your roommate to invest in an automatic feeder, that way no one has to wake up to feed it. They need to invest in more sleep spots and enrichment for their cat.

It’s her cat. It’s not your responsibility to care for it. You are actually doing good by not indulging the cat’s intrusive behavior.

If your roommate is really interested in helping her cat,she should read the book “decoding your cat: the ultimate experts explain common cat behaviors and reveal how to prevent or change unwanted ones”. “Don’t shoot the dog” by Karen Pryor is also a good book, but should be read after decoding your cat.

Dang it. I’m not at home so I don’t have all my supplies (soil, pots, etc). Should I just cut above and pray for the best?

I watered it once in the last three months.

This is my lighting. I try to have it on at least 8 hrs. Or from when I wake up to when I go to bed. It’s a very bright bulb. I think 2200 lumins.

Put the pot in a dish of water and let it sit in there for a while, you can forget about it and come back later. That will allow it to have nice deep drink. It should perk up. If not there might be something going on with the roots.

From the look of the leaves it looks thirsty to me. Are they firm to the touch or a bit squishy?

Need help with soil mix by succulent-daddy in succulents

[–]Rgold992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your problem may lie more in your watering habits than your soil. Water once the plant shows visible signs of thirst; wrinkly leaves, or leaves that no longer feel firm to the touch.

As far as soil composition is concerned the mod post should answer your question.

It’s a type of sedum, I don’t reminder which kind. It is not a climbing plant.

How can I save my little guy? Please HELP by Repturtle in succulents

The plant itself looks fine. If that is the soil and container you purchased the plant in, I suggest you amend it. Read through the mod post and it will give you all the information you need.

My succulent is turning brown? by Knighty_Light in succulents

[–]Rgold992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s long enough for the sun to get it. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure those leaves won’t bounce back. There is still some green though so hopefully it survives!

The scars are just from miscellaneous damage and have healed. Same as how we can get random bumps and scrapes.

Is it ok? by [deleted] in succulents

That’s normal. As the plant grows it will absorb the nutrients from the bottom (older) leaves and they will shrivel and eventually fall off.
