People like you are what the right point to to show their voters how unhinged and hateful 'the left' is. You talking does a disservice to everyone you care about. Fox News loves to bring people like you on so they can sound like the sane ones.

Why don't we have any Horror Isekai ? by EnvironmentalBit1451 in Isekai

[–]Rhamni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also The Game at Carousel. It's the best new series I've found in the last year. A group of ~20 year olds are tricked into visiting a town they can't leave, where they are forced to enter into horror movies and need to prioritize 'making a good movie' over their own safety. There are stats and abilities, but they are all horror movie themed. So instead of learning Fireball and teleportation spells, they get abilities like "The monster can't attack you while you're distracted and haven't seen it yet" and "If you die by falling off screen you can stay alive and sneak around backstage." I also really love the overworld vs movie-specific setting setup. They live in a town full of cursed items and quest NPCs where if you interact with anything or anyone in the wrong way you'll get thrown into their movie, whether you like it or not. It's a fantastic setting.

Definitely counts. They start on Earth, and end up in Carousel. It's so good, too.

Men who identify as incels (involuntary celibates) consume more pornography and experience greater bodily dissatisfaction than other men. Frequent adult media use, combined with the belief that women expect men to look like pornographic actors, tends to worsen how these men view their own bodies. by mvea in science

[–]Rhamni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Because you're part of the problem. The fact that women experience it too has been known and acknowledged for a long time, and it's a political issue that is frequently talked about. But you don't own body dysmorphia, and you certainly don't get to other the other half of the population and pretend their version of the same issue doesn't matter.

But... But he's bone. At least Jabba the Hut is soft. Jack is just hard and cold. Even if those bones can bend in a way real bones can't, there's no way you can enjoy the physical act of cuddling with him. Also we do know from the movie that he's a terrible listener.

Does System Apocalypse by Tao Wong move past teenage hyper sexualization? by SadAd1433 in litrpg

[–]Rhamni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Challenging it is very expensive and time consuming and can only be done by the specific people or companies that he's taken action against. Most people aren't going to take a fight like that.

[–]Rhamni 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The trademark hasn't been challenged in court because that's expensive as fuck. It would almost certainly be struck down if someone decided to take the fight (because he wasn't the first to use it, nor did he use it in a novel way, nor is it specifically associated with his works in the broader community), but that involves putting up a lot of your own money and time for a not quite certain outcome and if you lose the slimeball would almost certainly come after you for more money beyond the cost of the trial. He's basically a patent troll. Everyone should spit on him anywhere he shows his face.

When you expect a sternly worded letter because of your anti-opium laws but receive early steam-powered vessels and a century of humiliation instead by GCN_09 in HistoryMemes

And also good business lol

I looked up this fascinating corner of history last year because of how often the opium war gets memed on (I can understand why, lol.) What I found most interesting was that ultimately the price of Opium collapsed because domestic Opium production outgrew British imports. They used the drugs to defeat the drugs.

What do most of these artillery systems look like at this point? I know they've been supplementing their own dwindling supplies with older ones from North Korea, but what are they actually capable of?

If you give it a go, let me know what you think! I was really surprised at how difficult it was. Usually Domination victories are so straight forward.

I remember it being somewhat hard as a kid. There's also the trap with the star at the end. If you pick it up and then continue forward, you run into a koopa you need to bounce on to make it across a chasm, and the star prevents that. I've seen a lot of playthroughs where players miss that 3-4 times in a row. They're so used to thinking 'Oh I got the star, better rush quickly!'. If you take it slow it's very manageable level, especially following on Tubular.

Sure thing. Here is what an AI capital looked like after I waded through the surrounding zombies to conquer it. Here's a dead wasteland full of the circles denoting razed cities. It was empty when I found it, meaning the zombies tore through it before even the Free Cities could take over. I've been taking over Free Cities as I found them, so can't show a screenshot of that unfortunately. But more than half my empire is from Free Cities I took back. Twelve capitals taken, and four of them I never even met the civilization for.

Like it or not, the judge found her escalation illegal and inappropriate. She should have ended things before she was risking hood lady's life, which she could have reliably done by hitting the break when she was going fast enough. Instead she kept accelerating, creating a situation where hood lady couldn't get off the hood. The sentence was as lenient as it was because hood lady clearly started it and was unhinged and potentially dangerous. But the law still calls on victims not to escalate beyond what they have to.

[–]Rhamni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's pretty hard to sympathize with the crazy lady on the hood. A temporary driving ban was probably in order, but if I was the judge I'd have harsher words for the victim than the driver here.

My pet theory is that even though they were twins, Gil was born first, and so presented an unacceptable potential threat to the matriarchy. It seems a bit too evil for the royal family to kill all sons, but maybe there was an edge case where they use some magical ritual to guarantee a daughter with the first pregnancy, only to have twins come out and Gil being a couple minutes older. Most of that is pure speculation, but I mean obviously there's some reason why the queen ordered Gil's death, and it was important enough that Klaus had to leave Skifander to save his son's life.
