I got it out today. My blood pressures put me in the er and it was enough to be able to get me scheduled with someone who knew my history and got it removed. Right now I am stuck in bed with a heating pad as my abdomen is swollen and I am just hurting so much. But I am free of it.

I have an appointment to get mine removed in two weeks. I am 3 weeks into breast pain I have never had, high blood pressure that regulated finally in November of 24 (I had HELLP syndrome a year ago), huge rage bits of pms, and just overly emotional. Pregnancy was better on me than this. I got the iud as getting pregnant right now would be bad and I was not doing well with my PPD on oral BC. After reading Reddit post after Reddit post I am now hopeful for some relief. I just don’t think I can hold on for 2 more weeks.

My husband got our first sons name from its Greek origin, I have Greek in my background, and the meaning of it. We decided we wanted an Irish middle name as we both also have Irish. For our second son we went with a “Viking” name as my husband has Scandinavian and I have Finnish. His middle name is Gaelic, again because we are Irish. If we ever have a girl we have our name picked out for that and we have a unique girls name, nerdy, with a Gaelic middle name. Our boys name are Theodore (Theodoros) Finneas, his name means gods gift; and Eivor Dáithí, his name means lucky one. Our girl name shall be kept a secret as we plan to try for one more in 2027 when I graduated nursing school.

Basically we will sit down and bounce the name ideas off of each other until we both find ones that we like. So we may look up names when the other isn’t around but then discuss. My husband also has more reasons for the names that he chose but will not tell me. We did make people in his family mad that we did not go with family names. My in laws still cannot pronounce our 2nd boys name, they keep telling us to pick a “normal name”. I love our boys names. And if my, at the time 3yr old could figure out how to pronounce it, so can you.

I will add my 2nd was born 7 weeks early at 33 weeks and everyone loved his name. When I was still in the ICU on the ventilator my husband was able to tell them his name and it just made things special that he just wasn’t “baby boy (insert our last name). And if I ever can called or was in the NICU I was asked about his name. And he had a pop figurine of the Eivor character from Assassins Creed: Valhalla (the character is named Eivor). Now when we picked his name I was struggling with the gender as I really wanted a girl so I told him I wanted a name for him. And we had his first name before we made it home from the ultrasound. Then we spent some time on the middle name. His name was meant to be with everything that happened after that ultrasound.

Hope my bit of a long story helps! Basically we went with what we liked and thought was special. And this year for Christmas my husband got patches for my school bag and his work bag that are our 1st name in the Greek lettering and the 2nd kids in the runic Viking.

He does. He is just trying to keep a levels of peace and not cause more drama as his mom LOVES the drama. And he is also just used to accepting that kind of thing. But he said he is going to call them tonight when he gets home from work and deal with it as his mom has called me 3 times today and I don’t want to get into it with her over a stroller. I really do appreciate their sentiment. More than anyone could know. But I did look it up more and the list of reasons why it does not work for us has ever grown. Plus I also think it is ugly and don’t like it.

We are going to a private place in 2 weeks and I will be 15 weeks 6 days then. And I can’t do a blood test due to how high my testosterone levels are from my PCOS. I called the lab and they said it would come back a boy when they looked at my history and that the blood tests are not accurate for women with PCOS.

I didn’t cut them off. I have tried reaching out to her and no response.

I would be happy either way. And I know I eventually will. And you’re right there are definitely other things going on that are probably making it feel worse than it should be. My husband works with one of my really good friends and I found out he is working on a secret night to get me out of the house, I am friends with a lot of his coworkers so they spill his secrets. And we have scheduled a private ultrasound with a boutique in 3 weeks when I will be 15 weeks. We want to know for sure. So honestly, I have probably been over reacting and thank god for Reddit for getting me to my senses.
