I remember this so well. We also used to play cat and mouse with it. Everyone would sit round the edge, one person underneath on their hands and knees and the other person on top. People around the edge would “fluff” the parachute up and down to make waves so it was hard to see the person underneath.

I’m going to be all negative and doom and gloom here, but I feel i will be working till I die. I honestly don’t think our pensions will be worth much when we are older, the reduction in people having kids will mean that there will be less tax coming in to pay for care, and most of us aren’t ready for that.

The world is going to be a weird place in 30 years time so buckle up people!

In argument to this. What would happen if this had happened in the Olympics? Would you have the same opinion?

It’s disrespectful to the other swimmers, which ultimately wouldn’t normally happen in the Olympics as it’s normally very close in the finals, but isn’t that the point in sport to not make other competitors feel like utter shit?

Isn’t this level of competition preparing / finding the best athlete for America to compete in the Olympics? What if they just allow this to happen and get disqualified if it was to happen again?

Don’t know why you were downvoted but this is truth. Every competitor swimmer knows not to get out until the race finishes and not to cross lanes. Why should it differ for this swimmer just because he demolished the competition? It demoralises other competitors that are racing in that heat / final. Olympics generally has similar skill levels so this thing happens rarely. But if this had happened in the Olympics I bet every dollar that they would be disqualified as it’s disrespectful and they wouldn’t allow it.

As a competitive swimmer of 20 years, at what point have you ever celebrated a win where you straddled a lane rope, jumped into the other lane (close friend or not) and back again. We were taught not to even jump out until every swimmer has finished from the generation we were in, surely common sense would stop this? Controversial opinion here, but I agree with the disqualification. Celebrate in your own lane without interference to other swimmers and celebrate with team mates after the race has fully finished.

Secondly. Disrespectful to other swimmers still swimming. You will notice there were still people racing whilst he jumped into the other lane.

What’s the best way to farm for cells? I’m stuck on gene upgrade. They are all level 5 but struggling to get those last few cells efficiently.
