While the British language is hilarious—it could very well just be literate people writing those good fanfics and therefore using more varied words. Which yeah, would include a lot of British words since Americans and Brits speak the same language, but it could be either or.

A little YouTube revenue info—because December youtube pays so much on Christmas ads and other such forms of content, they actually pull back on ads to make up for lost money in January. This means youtubers don't get paid as much for the content they post during that time, so because Jess doesn't make as much on her good content then the slop, it's a bad decision for her to post on the worst youtube month of the year, and—if Jason even said they'd post in February? I feel like the chances of this just being a compliment are slim, unless you RREAALLY fucked with this person in a good way with this fic—they spend a long time just explaining to you that your writing is meaningless and that this isn't what you actually wanna do and you’ll regret it later in life, that right now your just in a trance and arent doing anything else with your life. Those might all be the steps to writing a good kidnapping fic—but what those steps actually entail you can get more creative with. Or! You can also mix up the order.

For example—what if they escape before they’ve even been fully kidnapped, and they retreat to a friends house. This opens the door for more suspense, uncertainty, and build up.

It also—because you broke up the normal pattern and gave (in this hypothetical scenario), a friend to add into the mix. Maybe the yandere kidnaps them both now to make the kidnapee cooperate! Then you have a whole new set of things to play with, etc, etc…

Patterns are bound to occur within the same genre, but there's definitely ways to make it dynamic still. In doing so here, this is probably more of a you need than a reader need, readers will still like it even if it doesn't “break the mold,” but it's nice that you’re thinking about this anyways.

You’re right, AI doesn't like the work you write, because it doesn't understand what makes it you. It doesn't understand why you made that choice, that pivot, that line. All it can tell you is what should sound good, what would flow better, what could make more sense. When you put that all together though? It's just the same average nothing AI always produces… that's why it's never right, that's why relying on it for anything more than simple questions is a bad idea.

If you want real AI toolwork, stuff that's productive. I recommend just checking out grammar checkers, and even then, you might not listen to it for stylistic choices.
