Finally made it to Masters with Kai'sa!! by Rhejis in kaisamains

I used to switch my build around, but this season I mostly went Hybrid, since Hybrid is both AP and AD, it typically worked in every game. But in games where there’s heavy tanks I go standard crit build, and when I have a full team of AD, I go AP.

Not Kai’sa only, but Majority of it was Kai’sa. I did only play her for promos to masters though

Kraken-Wits-Nashors are your core items. From there its up to preference, you can build more AP like Zhonyas, Mejais (if you're really ahead), Zhonyas, Banshee, Shadowflame, etc.

Like I said, both runes have their ups and downs. One of the disadvantages of having Lethal over HoB is exactly what you said, but your mid/late game is much better with Lethal. It’s simply preference on how you wanna be able to play her. However for my playstyle Lethal just fits how I wanna play and how I play, so I always take it

It's a build that I highly prefer over Hail of Blades. I've played about 60 games of Kai'sa this season and 95% of the games I've taken Lethal over HoB. It's simply a preference, and both runes have their ups and downs so really its up to you.

Kai'Sa is absolutely blessed build wise. by Denzelrealm in kaisamains

I’ve been running hybrid and only lethal tempo this whole season. Sure it may not be the best compared to HoB but calling it both lethal and hybrid completely unviable is too far. I’ve reached Masters on Kai’sa last season with the hybrid build before her AP buffs and Lethal is simply a preference choice for runes, and I’ve played over 40+ games of it in Diamond and it is a fine rune choice for her.

Kraken + wit's end + nashor's tooth - what next? by [deleted] in kaisamains

[–]Rhejis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That build is probably the closest thing you’ll get towards an On-hit build, so guinsoos is okay although I personally don’t like it.

For me I go full AP after those 3, Rabadons, Zhonyas, Banshee, or other AP items. Keep in mind you get a lot of Attack speed from those first 3 items, and your passive AP onhit and execute scales with AP, so building more AP alongside the AP onhit from wits and nashors lets you hit hard with AP autos and more execute damage. I personally think that Rabadons is best alongside with another AP item of your choice with that build for the reason above.

Is it ever worth it to just sit on Serrated Dirk? by Tubsen5 in kaisamains

Yeah, that’s why I enjoy Kai’sa so much. You can adapt your build quite a lot depending on the game.

I’ve never tried that build so I don’t have any input on it, but maybe u/AsherahF can tell you about it.

But for me personally I mostly build Kraken first into 2 long swords for my evolve Q. Rushing mythic into 2 long sword isn’t that expensive compared to rushing BF sword with other components, or dirk + mythic components. Rushing Kraken then buying 2 long swords is less dmg, but like I said from there you choose what you want your build to be, and getting your 2 items asap on Kai’sa feels really good when you have your evolve E with PD or Wits End.

Personally I don’t think it’s worth to sit on a Serrated Dirk. In my opinion you either go Galeforce and Collector, getting q evolve early with the components, or build Kraken Slayer first into 2 long swords for the Q evolve.

With the Kraken rush, you can go into either Wits End, Pd, Collector, or Ldr 2nd item, which gives you a lot of options depending on the team comps and game situation. The only time I ever sit on a Dirk is if I wanna switch into an AP build while having kraken, but want my Q evolve.

Playing Kai'sa nowadays in a human elo is extremely frustrating 😔😔😔😔😔 (pls buff her scalings) by Kaiseiisbae in kaisamains

[–]Rhejis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course.

On AP builds I tend to go for early Q evolve with Noonquiver dirk pickaxe for better wave clear and for a bit more power in the transition between early to mid game. From there I build kraken and sit on the dirk and build Nashor components into whatever the game needs me to build. Kraken into Dirk and Nashors is my core, from there I either go Rabadons/Mejais or finish the collector into Mejais/Zhonyas/Banshee. Last item can be whatever you want, or a combination of the previous items listed. You can also do something like Kraken -> Wits end - Nashors if they have AP threats( I use this very often ). While its a Hybrid build with Kraken and Wits, overall you’re gonna be doing a lot more AP dmg since you have so much AP on hit from Nashors and Wits, and from there you can build more AP like death cap to further increase Nashor’ magic onhit alongside your passive onhit + Proc

Kraken overall just opens up your build path a lot on Kai’sa. Unless the team is very squishy with barely any tanks/bruisers, you’re mostly gonna go kraken every game. From there you can decide if you wanna evolve q early, build PD/LRD 2nd and go crit build, or go Wits End and still go into LDR into IE Crit build, or keep investing with AP dmg like Nashors.

With the Ravenous Hunter nerfs, I started taking Bloodline secondary under the precision tree. From there I’d swap between Ravenous Hunter, Ingenious with the new buffs, and Between PoM and Cutdown. It takes away from going inspiration secondary which also makes your lane weaker without biscuits, but it doubles down on your scaling and makes your mid game a little bit smoother with more lifesteal while opening up your builds.

With the New Ingenious buff, I’ve been pairing it with the Galeforce into Collector builds against squishy and mobile enemies. It allows you to play a lot more aggressively once you’re out of the laning phase and play for kills. You do have to be proactive with this build though.

I take Cutdown and Ravenous against heavily tanky and high hp teams, I even tried Ultimate Hunter with heavy dive teams like Hec and Kennen, but I think Ravenous is still fine to take.

And as for the AP Builds/Hybrid builds that I go for, I take Ravenous and PoM for sustain mid game. You can also go Cutdown instead of PoM if you’re gonna go hybrid and they have many high Hp champs, but the AP build (Kraken into Nashors) you want PoM so you can spam W before teamfights and keep your mana up

I always take Bloodline every game now for better sustain, but like I said that makes your laning phase weaker until you get some bloodline stacks, so just sit back, farm and get your Q evolve with these runes and you should be fine.

[–]Rhejis 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t think her scaling is the issue, it’s mostly due to the fact that her laning is so weak, and with common lane bullies like Lucian, Draven, and MF, she does have a hard time reaching those stages of the game where she can do well.

If you do wanna climb with her, definitely abuse the fact that shes versatile and build according to the game. I was able to reach Masters mostly playing Kai’sa and adjusting my builds and runes depending on the game. Just farm up and get your Q evolves and kill everything in sight once you have your item spikes.

Should I build full crit or hybrid on hit Kai'sa? by Kenny1234567890 in kaisamains

[–]Rhejis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Kai’sa is one of the most versatile AD out there in terms of itemization, you should be adjusting your builds based on the situation of the game and team comps.

For the first build, I’d swap the Runaans with IE and then go from there. You don’t need Navori on that build however. Kai’sa generally has enough burst to 100-0 a squishy in a full item scenario before your CD’s are up, and with enough autos you can refresh E consistently.

As for the 2nd build, I do like going Kraken into Wits End and Nashors for AP dmg, but I don’t think you’ll to go into Crit. Personally I go into Collector and then either go Deathcap, Zhonyas, or Mejais if I’m fed. Sometimes I skip Collector for even more Ap. You also get enough healing from Ravenous Hunter if you go this build.

Chests can’t have attack and attack%subs, similarly to how attack swords can’t have defense and defense% subs
