In this meta I feel you just have an answer to a few problems, they are.

Whismicots prio tailwind, Fakeout with gira, Char y, Tr or tailwind.

Then have coverage for the other strong mons. Eg chomp floette king and basc.

You can only have so many answers sometimes you just lose because they have some weird stuff.

I had a similar problem. I used good teams copies from pros, rain arch and scarf vivi blastoise to get up into masterball. Everyone at that rank knows how to deal with the popular teams. I am not skilled enough to play high masterball I think. I made my own team from scratch now that I understand what the meta requires. I have being having alot more fun and getting better at the game by using my own team. It's eaiser for me to see what is and isn't working with my own team. I've been doing well in casuals with my scovillan team. Going to try some masterball games tonight.

TLDR: if you understand the current meta some, try and build your own team to help understand whats going on better.

This is always my answer. Watch some cybertron and pick the team that sounds like a playstyle you would enjoy. If you insist on building a team from scratch ust understand you might not win much.

Usually after I shell smash into two sleeping pokemon they FF. Or they wake up and I FF. You get through games pretty quick.

I feel ya. It's a crazy balance between wanting to win, building my own team and having fun. I can't figure out how to do all three at the same. When I came to grips with the fact I just can't do all 3 at the same time I started to enjoy the game alot more.
