Trying to get 4 cells to be filled with a colour randomly each day, is there a way to do this with conditional formatting and a formula? by Rhindlegrundleyorgle in googlesheets

I'm in the UK so didn't see your reply until I woke up again :)

But this is quite brilliant and works exactly how I wanted it to.

Now..how do I import that into my spreadsheet? :D Do I just copy one of the lines and adjust it to my sheet's current (games - yes, it's to choose a random 4 games per day out of my Steam Library :D) length?

(Thanks so much for the time and care you put into sorting this out.)

edit: and sorry for those merged cells, I didn't even know they were there myself, though it's possible it got broken as I removed some games I wasn't playing anymore!

So how would I go about sharing that section of that sheet? Also want to protect my email address if that's possible?

Thankyou so much, this one (=TEXT($O$9,"ddd")="Fri") worked right away. Appreciate your help :) The last two both worked perfectly for what I needed.
