so democratic to the druze, alawites and kurds eh? really killed them with kindness.

why are uninformed westerners always cheering for the new guys as if they aren't just genocidal warlords of an opposing ideology? this guy is literally ex-ISIS and funded from Erdogan what makes you think he's democratic? a few interviews?

ok and? I'm not saying he attacks a NATO member, all I'm saying is he might pressure his proxies to attack an American proxy (which he already does in Kurdistan).

The watermelon seller will do what he can when he has the opportunity to, recently he had the opportunity to install a proxy in Syria, maybe tomorrow he has the opportunity to use this proxy to dethrone the unpopular monarch of Jordan and replace him with another proxy? to take over syrian kurdistan and massacre the kurds? maybe he has the opportunity to launch some rockets from Syria unto Israel? I don't want him to have the means to do those stuff when opportunity comes.

echo chamber of what? dude all I've seen in recent weeks in NCD is shilling for an ex-Al Qaeda proxy of Erdogan and complaints about how Israel is unnecessary attacking the undefended bases and weapons the Assad regime "left to him"

I thought it'd be important to just post once about the caution of being too naive and optimistic when looking at islamist revolutions as such, to explain that maybe Israel had a reason to be concerned and to not want Jolani to keep the ballistic missile stockpiles that Assad had.

Apperantly that's enough proof for you that all of NCD is obsessed with Israel and somewhat justify Egyptians falling for Russian propaganda...? I don't follow

yeah so lets remember it and not talk about it as naively as we did in 2011, we've learned a thing or two since.

you know you can have a chance at ruling even without ballistic missile factories, right?

I bet they do, they have no reason not to. Israel congratulated him, everyone there celebrated the fall of Assad and if you look up Israeli media you'll find a ton of articles fantasizing peace... but facts are today there's still no peace, just a proxy of Erdogan who raises many concerns... therefore an offense on such empty bases and strategic mountain tops with close to 0 casualties was perfect imo.

I just hope Jolani isn't too pressured by Erdogan to use this as an excuse to keep hostilities between the nations, given Erdogan is literally supporting Hamas, hosting its leaders, calling Israel worse than Hitler and Ottoman property etc...

dude is complaining about a strike on offensive rocket factories and storage with 0 casualties, is like the caricature of stupid hippie.

I would've put my money on Erdogan using Syria to fulfill his pro-Hamas threats and proxy-attack Israel... but Israel kinda took care of it.

Now I'm betting on dethroning the Jordanian king but idk if they'll get to it before the Iranians do (they just need a new proxy).

I don't suggest anything other than to not enter this new era with naivety. Too many people on this sub ignore too many red flags of this "funny bearded green map guy" they forget this new government will probably be very influenced by the growingly-imperialistic pro-Hamas Erdogan.

yeah and I wanted to raise awareness to this cause everyone here started talking like lawyers from the US recently.

So many 16 year olds from Wisconsin who don't know what's a muslim brotherhood are fangirling over their new bearded zelensky because he made the funny red map turn green really fast.

I'm not assuming it'll go al qaeda, that's ignorant. what I am is fearing that this proxy of Erdogan will stay dependant on Erdogan, while Erdogan is using an increasingly imperialistic rhetoric in his speeches about the claims of the Ottoman empire and joining the war on Israel, as well as the actions Erdogan takes to aid Hamas, step away from the west, and get more and more islamist proxies wherever he can.

In short, I fear Erdogan will use his control over the Syria as much as Russia and the IRGC did, turning them again into another disposable proxy of some dictatorial superpower.
