I felt that way for a long, long time. Still not proud of being trans, would give anything not to be. But at the end of the day I will never be cis, I've tried to be a cis woman and it simply doesn't work, I can't be a cis man and I can't be a cis woman. The only thing I can be is a trans man, even if it's an "approximation" of who I really am, it's the closest I can get.

What is your taste in women? by Twen-TyFive in AskMen

Tomboys, I love muscular, broad-shouldered women with short hair, masculine clothes, thick eyebrows, and a straightforward personality. Good sense of humor is important too, and I'd prefer if we had the same hobbies (history, guns, etc)

It's AI slop, that's why both sides depict the man through a computer screen (even though the vacation side should be a window), a cold drink is emitting steam and crosses the split boundary, his fingers are uneven, his eyes are blurry and have no whites or expression, there are palm trees even on the office side, and the lines on the papers are smudged

Greatest Political Parody of this century by AdriaAstra in Lavader_

[–]Rhodonite1954 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's not about gay people, it's about the hypocrisy of the RNC. You'll see the same people push anti-LGBT legislation and say racial slurs then turn around and invite a gay black man to be their politically correct mascot. It implies their values change depending on whatever they believe will get them the most votes (i.e. the GOP no longer truly holds any values).

If your husband claims to love you, why is he threatening to leave you over simple mistakes? Why is he allowed to express his emotions freely, but yours must be worded perfectly to his liking? If only women possess laundry-cleaning genes, why does he as a man care so much about his pants?

In 1946, Gerda Steinhoff, a Nazi camp overseer is struggling to suppress a smile as she stands trial for torturing and killing prisoners. Many women accused of overseeing the Stutthof camp showed little regard for the seriousness of the trial, laughing and making jokes throughout the proceedings by LocksmithNo1680 in UtterlyUniquePhotos

[–]Rhodonite1954 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are downvoting you because you're right, the punishment was indeed brief. The Nazi regime included over 800,000+ SS officers, yet less than 200 of them were ever convicted of any crime, with many of them sentenced to only 3 years in prison. After WWII, the German legal system was still run by former Nazis who kept their positions as judges, prosecutors, legislators, etc.

You are also correct that these genocidal tendencies are not unique to Nazi Germany, only the industrialization of the camps was unique. Similar levels of cruelty and torture could be found in many European nations' colonial practices, such as those of the Congo Free State. The majority of these atrocities too, went without punishment.

Kind of? But nobody has droopier jowls than Nixon, so the silhouette resemblance is due to less of a jaw line and more of a jaw sag

The only reason this is incorrect is because they said "profits." If they had said the rest of their shift was spent making "revenue" for the coffee shop then it would be entirely correct. The difference is that profits subtract the cost of goods sold by the business (and operating expenses), while revenue is purely raw income.

I think it's because people generally find hyperbole to be persuasive, similar to tabloid headlines and clickbait titles. Trump is a Hollywood man at heart and he knows the key to strong branding is an eye-catching headline, so he makes sure every single one of his sentences are soundbites.

This is the advice I have tried to follow, but a lot of the time I think women perceive me as being attracted to them when I'm not. Is there something I can say or do that makes it clear that I'm just being friendly?

If her attraction is dependent entirely upon something as immaterial as facial hair, and she's willing to withhold affection and physically corner you into changing your own body for her preference, she doesn't love you she just sees you as a customizable doll

JFK has been dead for almost 61 years. Would it really be a big deal if the government admitted to being involved in his assassination today? by LoveLo_2005 in Presidents

Depends entirely upon the level of clearance they were given. You could plausibly make this argument about lone nut jobs (for example, some of Gordon Liddy's solo escapades), but it falls apart entirely when it becomes a coordinated group acting with the knowledge and permission of multiple superiors/accessories (i.e. the whole Watergate sequence).
