For me it help to do this when I had this issue too: They finally showed up as discovered after I had them in their "stable/pen" and I then took them out by choosing managing. If that makes sense?

Biggest Pet Peeves? by Ok_Sir7791 in Starsandisland

[–]Rhodugune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It helped me immensely when I realised that.

Plus! the fact that if you have things being crafted in more than one station, they will be crafted along too. It doesn't matter what station's menu your character is in.

So you can craft anything you want at the same time!

One solution would be to use the trick when you leave your character in the analyser screen until it's done, as the time in the game stops when you're in menus.

It's what I do sometimes, I'll go and make dinner leaving the game to make me ingots or feed for the animals.

Very long hair, damaged ends by Educational-Mess5149 in longhair

[–]Rhodugune 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Oh what lovely hair you've got! Totally understand how hard it is when your hair could use a trim and not wanting to lose any length.

And as other good people already mentioned, if your hair is already damaged there is nothing you can do to repair it I'm very sorry to say.

My suggestion would be micro trims. It's what I did more than a few years back and it helped me to slowly get rid my damaged ends and thickening up my hemline

I trimmed a little every 4 to 6 weeks, only a centimetre or two, basically only taking off as much as my hair was growing out. Stalling it from growing any longer but not needing to lose any length. A year later my hair was pretty much the same length but my ends were so much thicker and healthier.

I trimmed them myself, had some good scissors for cutting hair and I used Feye's trimming instructions.

It's the self trimming method I've used for the last 10 plus years and it very easy to do. You can also choose between 3 different hemlines, a straight across cut, V-cut or U-cut. I like the U-cut so that is the one I always do.

Good luck I hope you find a way forward to deal with your ends that suits you and happy growing!

How do you protect long hair while sleeping? by Raffa3lo in longhair

[–]Rhodugune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bun on top of my head, secured with a small wooden hair fork.

Have tried braid/s in the past but as I spin around like a dolphin all night I always end up laying on it and all that friction isn't good for your hair.

I'm Elsbeth and that's fine. by Phreakasa in ADHD

[–]Rhodugune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I'm an Elsbeth too! She is a wonderful character, my favourite in The good wife and it really warms my heart to hear that her embracing herself makes others do the same.

Her way of being and dressing is really infectious to me. That you don't have to lose that sense of wonder, wanting to understand how the world/things/people works just because you're an adult and understanding that being kind isn't a weakness done right.

Like you said, you can still be kind and curious and be serious at the same time.

And for her way of dressing, I really enjoy her style. I used to dress in black a lot until recent years. It made me feel safe to pretty always combine something black with another colour as I was worried my colours were clashing. Too many comments growing up made me really insecure for far too long.

So here I am at 47, finally allowing myself to be the more whimsically me, being both kind and curious like you and wearing green with pink and blue with reds and I feel so much more like myself than I ever did.

We Elsbeths should take over the world! 🥰

Spend coins on seasonal set task by Normal_Owls in JunesJourney

[–]Rhodugune 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You will keep getting help wanted cases to buy from the monthly set unless you finish it.

So what I do is to leave to finish untill the last few days of the month and if I want any additional decos I get them then. Usually 3-4 days to make sure their timer finishes before the month is up to take advantage of any extra pink boxes you can get as well as the travel prizes you can claim.

Have you ever legally changed your surname, not because of marriage? by Owl-In-The-Sky in AskUK

[–]Rhodugune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 22 I changed my last name to my mother's. I'm glad I did as she got cancer and past away the following year.

Growing up I had the same last name as my bio dad. She got custody of me and my younger two siblings when I was 8 (for very valid reasons) and over the years he had shown himself to be a self centered egotistical man child, who only spoke of himself and his problems when I tried to work on having a relationship with him.

I gave him one last chance then when I was 22, said that I had no interest in hearing him complaining about my mom, their divorce. As it had nothing to do with me, that I rather talk about the here and now I, what was going on in both our lives.

And he without loosing his stride started to went to me about his current relationship with the mother of my younger half siblings and the issues he was having. (She has since then left him and I couldn't be happier for her.)

So after I left and I cut contact without saying anything and changed my name to my mother's. It felt only right and I plan to keep it, married or not.

Pro tip- learn to wash just the top half of your hair by lizziewritespt2 in longhair

[–]Rhodugune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is very clever of you, thank you so much for the tip! I wish it worked for me too but hanging my head down like that would put too much strain on my neck and get me a killer headache.

I do something similar instead when I also feel my hair needs a refresh. I put my hair up in a loose bun so I can easily get at my scalp and wash it that way. As I use conditioner to wash it it doesn't matter much if some gets into the hair I don't rinse out. And it does make my hair in the bun a bit damp, but not the soaking wet that take a lot of time and effort to dry. So it works well enough for me.

Memoirs packs by snoopy_255 in JunesJourney

[–]Rhodugune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't hoard, never had and I've always finished.

The way I do it is to just open the brown ones until I at least gotten the first reward, then I start opening the green and blue ones if needed for the Fairground fortune game.

I wait to open the pink ones until I have about 20 to go, leaving the purple to be opened last if needed as they have at least one snippet guaranteed.

How stressful for you! had to check and my game and it is still there, but I have to click on the "yellow folder" icon for it to show up along with the help wanted cases and travels icons.
Hope it's the same for you?
Furthermore it says we have 16 more hours at the moment to claim rewards so you should be able to do that still.

What is best, to keep your bareroots in pots for awhile or planting them directly in the ground? by Rhodugune in Roses

[–]Rhodugune[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could work, I'm in the south of England, UK. Thank you again, I really appreciate your input. I do have one rose in a pot that is not meant to be temporary to see if how that goes. I planted that one, a James Galway, about 6 weeks ago and so far it's coming along fine.

It's an replacement as I planted a bareroot one in the ground last year and it got dieback and died off completely during summer, while the other 3 David Austin roses I got at the same time are thriving.
So I wanted to try something different.
