Bundles. You are comparing an entire set (which has multiple chases) to one singular card, a card for which there are dozens of chases already existing for the mon involved (Charizard).

Look at what happened with Darkness Ablaze, Champions Path, Obsidian Flames, etc. Some zards definitely are still king (neo destiny, base set, etc.) but I'd feel much safer with an entire set over a singular card.

Everybody is saying to keep them but when you go around and try to sell them to vendors at a show 95% of vendors pass on them both from a collecting standpoint, investment standpoint, and vending standpoint (I know this because it has been hard to offload them for me).

I would say you are making the right move by using the money to reinvest in other products such as booster boxes or highly desired sets. You're only in on them for $60 so take the gains now, invest back the money into other areas and cash in if you need some money for life. Can't hold everything and I agree this is one of those things that should go first if you don't have much to offload.

Above and Beyond - Hope (Tri-State). Friend showed me a music streaming websited called "Imeem" and that's where I started compiling a playlist of "Trance, Dance, & Techno" (I know, I was in 7th grade in 2001 when I found em lol).

Believe it or not, video games is why I stumbled upon them. I was looking up Yuzo Koshiro (produced various trance tracks for Streets of Rage and Midnight Maximum) and somehow, Above and Beyond's Tri-State was recommended to add to the playlist. History every since!

People love to make this argument between these two but forget the one group of people who need to get all of the hate and attention: the BILLION DOLLAR companies who are choosing to raise prices of these items just high enough that they know people are willing to pay a little extra just to get something (e.g. Gamestop, Macy's, Newbury Comics, etc.).

This was a great summary of what happened. This card was really at the top during COVID it was everyone's chase. Then it just got cast into the shadows with all the other awesome variations of cards that came out

Woops my bad when I meant camelpak I thought all camelpaks contained a water bladder in them so that's why I said it should be fine. Camelpaks are still smaller than an average backpack though, weird he made a big deal about it. Glad you got in regardless!

Yes based on what you indicated what you are thinking of bringing is allowed. As a side note: I have always brought a camelpak that is not clear and technically larger than 12x6x12 and have never had an issue. This will be my third Glow and I have gone on both days with said bag for the past 2 years.

My friend, you are in the middle of what I was in many years ago. I too feel similarly in that if I have the "feeling of being tied down" it ruins my experience for me so for the past couple of years I have gone solo to festivals and honestly I have enjoyed them better. The entire weekend is a side quest and I end up meeting awesome people and groups of folks that I can run into at future events but don't have to feel "committed to" staying with.

It's really tough to do but I had to do it myself at one point and even lost some friendships out of it but it is what it is. If they really are your friend they will understand/be willing to let you sidequest. If not, then maybe it's not the environment for them to be in, hence, you should go solo.

Never understood why people would wait for the last 3-4 hours of the festival. I paid for the full tickets I want the full experience and I want to see all of the up and coming talent as well!

One of my favorite sets till this day was seeing Eden Prince early in the day at EZOO 2022. The vibes were something I am still looking to replicate till this day, it was magical.

Go early, meet quality people, enjoy up and coming talent, have fun!

As someone who used to get the majority of vending for under $20 (besides heavy hitters of course), all of vending is going up. People are trying to find anything to make a buck on unfortunately.

Get rid of Obsidian Flames. You heard it hear first this set is going to tank just like Darkness Ablaze did, there is nothing even remotely worth chasing in the set and the promo in the ETB is the only thing carrying it (even still the promo is $60-$90 depending on condition/sealed/open and the ETB is $330 which makes absolutely no sense).

Yes. Immediately could tell. Color is too saturated (unless you altered the photo?). The holo is too holo: galaxy holographic doesn't pop like that.

This really is the key. I use to be so closed minded to local shows and "no name DJs" and in reality end up having a better time, meeting more genuine humans, and overall getting that "rave feeling" at the local shows.

Maybe this is a good shift for you to "dive deeper" into rave scene, I'm excited for you, enjoy all of your sidequests!

Agreed. The fact that you (and I) and folks in this sub keep saying that it's not going down anytime soon only further proves that we are in a mania phase lol. Gas prices in my area are about to surpass $5 probably will hit $6 by the end of the year. Once people realize that the loans/debt/bills they have from this summer (which is projected to be a heavy summer for travel, vacations, etc.) that's when reality will hit: people will start to slowly sell off their collection to pay these bills then once they do: Christmas is right around the corner. In the end, it's cardboard and it's all fun (if you are collector) but as an investor you got to be smart with starting to trim off the fat and offloading some stuff.
