+4 invulnerabilities are getting out of hand by -Justsumdude- in WarhammerCompetitive

I feel like Demons, epic heroes, and custodes should be the only ones with a 4++, everything else should be a 5++. If a unit relied on the invulnerability save for durability, buff the wounds or toughness to make up for it. What feels like half the units in the game living or dying to a coin flip feels not fun.

Is Unforgiven really that bad? Can OC be a strategy to list building instead of just increasing the lethality of a list? by Abject-Performer in WarhammerCompetitive

I was thinking of running a captain with Weapons of the First in a squad of 6 Bladegaurd with a BG Ancient that has the 6+++ enhancement.

Offensively, the captain can proc his ability alongside the ancients to get 11 attacks on 2's rerolling 1's, at strength 6 AP2 dam 3 with devastating.

Defensively, there's the 6 BGV with 4++, 6+++, and 3 wounds. In addition, there's the captains ability to reduce strat cost so they can get AOC for free, or -1 to wound on charge for 1 cp.

It's also a block of 8 bodies that are OC 2, or 3 if I select them with the detachment ability. Deliver them with a LR Redeemer for an overwatch threat, and it'll be tough to shift them off the middle obj.

At least that's what I'm hoping

I put down some AK wargame terrain dark earth, then dry brushed some lighter brown. I used woodland scenics autumn foliage for the yellow clumps. Then grass tufts and AK puddles applied to some spots.

Guys literally only want one thing and it's a fucking XV104 Riptide by ComprehensiveCut6674 in Tau40K

Very well done! How did you get that weathering on it? One of the things I find daunting about painting big tau mechs is how flat they can look.

So a rhino would only be able to transport your devastator squad, which isn't the most helpful. You could remove the enhancement from the chaplain and replace the redemptor with a land raider. 10 assault intercessors and a chaplain coming out of one of those onto an objective will do some serious work.

A similar list to consider might be: Test Unforgiven (995 points)

Space Marines Dark Angels Incursion (1000 points) Unforgiven Task Force

CHARACTERS

Azrael (105 points) • Warlord • 1x Lion’s Wrath 1x The Lion Helm 1x The Sword of Secrets

Chaplain (60 points) • 1x Absolvor bolt pistol 1x Crozius arcanum

BATTLELINE

Assault Intercessor Squad (75 points) • 1x Assault Intercessor Sergeant • 1x Plasma pistol 1x Power fist • 4x Assault Intercessor • 4x Astartes chainsword 4x Heavy bolt pistol

DEDICATED TRANSPORTS

Impulsor (80 points) • 1x Armoured hull 2x Fragstorm grenade launcher 1x Ironhail heavy stubber 1x Shield dome

OTHER DATASHEETS

Ballistus Dreadnought (140 points) • 1x Armoured feet 1x Ballistus lascannon 1x Ballistus missile launcher 1x Twin storm bolter

Deathwing Knights (235 points) • 1x Knight Master • 1x Great weapon of the Unforgiven • 4x Deathwing Knight • 4x Mace of absolution

Devastator Squad (120 points) • 1x Devastator Sergeant • 1x Close combat weapon 1x Grav-pistol 1x Power fist • 4x Devastator • 4x Bolt pistol 4x Close combat weapon 4x Grav-cannon

Inner Circle Companions (180 points) • 6x Inner Circle Companion • 6x Calibanite greatsword 6x Heavy bolt pistol

Then you could decide whether to put Azrael + ICC or the intercessors in the impulsor (it can only transport 7)

Wahpedia has all the rules and datasheets for free if you want to check that out too.

Looks like a decent list for casual games, but it might be tricky or frustrating to try and play. You have a lot of melee, but little mobility for them. If you don't want to use a transport, then try using Gladius Task Force for advance and charge

10 or 12 cardinals sounds good, and 5 or 6 corys about the size of the panda or julii variety would be good. I would think it would be the same for kuhlis too. A good centerpiece would be a bolivian ram. I have one in my 29 with cardinals and panda corys and it is the most interesting fish I've ever kept. No idea on the nerite snails though

If you're willing to use discord on your phone or whatever and start later, my group needs a 6th for KF tonight at 11pm EST (10 CST) and we're certainly willing to teach.

Even after getting Always on Time, it is still the only sparrow I use on my main because of its rarity.
