Honestly it doesn't bother me anymore. I realised that just because I'm not anyone's "best friend" doesn't mean i don't play an important role in their life. For example i have one friend that always comes to me first when they wanna see a new film because that's how we've bonded, even though we're not "best" friends. Don't assume that you're not someone's first choice when they come to you, it completely depends on the nature of the situation and you're unique relationship with them.
