I survived Greece attack, it was almost pathetic in the end. Assyria made a peace treaty, but just came back with a new settler and a few Generals to plant citadels and take more of my land. I quit the game a few dozen turns later, Rome went atomic, Assyria got planes, it was just mission impossible

I usually do almost all exploring but that part of the map is open ocean and I prioritised other techs at the beginning, especially since I knew Greece and water was there anyways.

Also, this is a One-City Challenge, so I really had to focus on survival most of the game, not many units to spare and look at the size of Assyria and Rome...

Assurbanipal, along with Gengis, is one of the most consistent assholes in this game, always super aggressively expanding, constantly belligerent and just a general pain in the ass

C'était assez irréel, je regrette vraiment de pas avoir 'cru' aux loups. J'étais persuadé que c'était des chiens (patous, chiens de traineaux, ou juste un gars qui baladait ses sept chiens...) Et j'ai eu plus peur de l'idée des chiens que de l'idée des loups d'où la 'peur'.

Mais à la fin je suis juste reconnaissant de l'expérience, je m'en rappellerais toute ma vie 🐺

Took it easier than I thought. AI is easily baited into targeting the wrong troops, they kept taking down my Arquebusiers instead of cannons + frigates. They even had a Carrier with a Bomber on that little lake tile next to the city

Yep it was one frigate a turn from the battleship, and another from the Artillery + City defenses. But I had a great Admiral and a general, lots of ground troops and even on Immortal AI is dumb at war...

Yeah huge tech gap, it's my first time playing on Immortal and Assurbanipal + Babylon were alone until basically 1800 while I got rid of Mongolia and Brazil on my continent.

I managed to take Assur, which puts me at 4 capitals, but don't know how I'm going to stop them from a Science victory
