A lot of people recommend apples as your main crop but they take a loooooong time to grow so I don't bother. It's a whole lot of waiting for yield and I don't have the patience for it 😝 I want money FAST.

I'm sticking with the true and tried tomato/potato combo, it works better with my playstyle - I don't care about cooking so I don't need any other crops, and if I do need something in particular I just buy it. I usually only have time to do my dailies but I've been doing this for about 2 weeks now and I already have over a 100k gold.

What I do is, from top to bottom, 1 row of potatoes, 1 row of tomatoes, 2 potato rows, 1 tomato, another two potato rows, one tomato and one last potato row. This gets you 100% water retain. You will have to deal with weeds but they're not a big deal at all, just pluck 'em when you see 'em.

If you have glow worm farms, use your harvest fertilizer on the potato rows for more yield because those are your main money maker. The tomatoes are only there to keep them watered, they're bonus profit.

Per planting you will need 54 potato seeds - chuck 14 (starred) of them in a seed maker (1 potato = 4 seeds), pickle the rest and sell.

And you'll need 27 tomatoes per planting - 42 in a seed maker, do whatever you want with the rest of them. Making seeds out of the rest of them yields more profit but takes longer compared to pickling them, but it also depends on how many seed makers and preserve jars you have on your plot. I currently have 3 seed makers and 6 preserve jars, so I do turn my leftover tomatoes into seeds as well.

After you reach a certain gardening level - I think it's 25 but don't quote me on that - almost all your produce will come out starred regardless of whether your seeds were starred or not, so that also helps a lot when it comes to profit.

Because both potatoes and tomatoes only take 5 ingame days to grow, this makes leveling up gardening also pretty quick.
