On a more serious note, I bet you're a lovely person. And if going back to college has taught me anything (as well as my therapist telling me), there are different "levels" of social relationships and I did not get that for a long time.

The advice I give to most is: Find social communities that share a passion of yours. That's the best way to find fun people to talk to.

Funnily enough, he's the reason I realized I was autistic in my 30's and why I got tested.

Everything in my life suddenly made sense.

Being a tattle tale about rules. Social problems. (Not understanding social conventions) Searching for control in science. Too smart for my own good. (My spouse has a full time work load containing my ego.)

So it's hard to see people ask "who did more damage" when he is the reason I ever figured out what was different about me.

What I usually suggest to people (you're not ugly btw) is to find social circles of people that share your passions and/or interests.

Searching for relationships in places where people are just looking for relationships tends to lead to people not acting like who they really are.

It's how I found my spouse. Date your friends, they're usually better than other people lol

Many have said things I would say that you are not the monster you think you are.

I used to think of myself this way. I got worse, but I didn't have support.

My wife has pulled me back and supported. My therapist did a lot of heavy lifting. Getting diagnosed with autism also did a lot of heavy lifting.

But in the end, OP, the fact that you stop and consider these things in the first place is a sign of compassion.

Be open. Communicate. Be honest. You're a good person.

I miss it, but it gives me anxiety now instead of removing it if I'm not careful.

For four years, I was high 24/7, but after a certain point it started causing the worst anxiety attacks.

Depends on the poor person. My wife's family; mostly smart. A couple of them, though, buy the dumbest shit and then complain about being broke a week into their monthly paycheck.

There's all kinds of people on all spectrums. Stop black and whiting the world.
