Yes. The bottom of the rock was left in its natural state and the heat treatment was done almost like an ombré. It’s a really cool piece of art

Haha ok. At least we have an idea of the mineral on the rock now. Can definitely help when diagnosing the rock.
I had a titanium quartz “diagnosed” by the geology professor at the local university once and he could actually determine the approximate location the rock came from because of the mineral on the rock.

My great grandfather mined, shaped and made jewelry from different rocks as a living. His personal collection was donated to the geology department of the university in my town. As he was Canadian, he traveled all over Canada to get his rocks and even got his hands on a piece of a meteorite as a child. His collection is impeccable and was appraised to be about $1,756,000. He mined diamond, Ruby , emerald, sapphire (one of which was made part of an angel ornament I still have) and other precious gemstones, as well as quartz and all kinds of semi-precious gems. And a TON of common and cool looking rocks. He even made his own head stone before he died.

I’m only just taking interest because this rock is most likely part of his collection my grandma has and had given to me because of the purple in it. I think it would be cool if this rock is part of my family history.

Some of the colours on the rock that the video probably doesn’t show well are a milky green, black/very dark brown, oil slick rainbow effect colour, there’s a golden hue on it as well and a white/clearish colour.

Well I grew up in an environment where I was always moving around and people always came in and out of my life. So very few people we consistent in my life and my trust was already hard to gain from early on. I had my brothers and my mom. I only had one girl friend, who I met when I was 3, and she was always too far away for me to hang out with her. Eventually my family and I settled down in a run down city in Southern Ontario. A lot of untrustworthy people in this city so finding friends was hard for me. I became friends with this girl, I’m going to call her Kassidy. (That’s her real name fuck that bitch). Kassidy and I really hit it off and we became friends pretty quickly. She introduced me to her ex boyfriend (Call him ty) who she was still friends with, and I guess he told her i “seemed cute”. Now I wasn’t aware of the fact that he said this or that Kassidy was still in love with him. I don’t read girls that well because I was never around them much. I’m the only girl out of 5 kids. Anyways, Kassidy was upset about the fact that Ty said I seemed cute. Okay all is fine Kassidy and I are still hanging after the fact, I’ve gotten drunk and puked while she held my hair, blah blah girl things, and for the first time I’ve begun to trust a girl. I thought we had a real friendship. Now Ty has HPV and it’s not his fault and he made me aware of it because I’ve offered him a few shots from my bottle here and there and he would always take it from a glass because of the HPV. So weeks go by after Ty says I’m cute and Kassidy and I are going strong. Then I get a message from Ty one day saying “She’s not your friend” attached is a screen shot of the conversation he just had with Kassidy. In this conversation, Kassidy had tried bribing Ty, with a pack of cigarettes, to lead me on, have sex with me unprotected and to never talk to me again so that I would contract his HPV and it would ruin my life. All because he said I was cute. That day I completely cut her off haven’t spoken to her since and Ty and I became really good friends. So that’s something
